Question:

I would like to install a hitch for a 2021 Toyota RAV4 Hybrid XSE. Does the EcoHitch Hidden Trailer Hitch Receiver Part Number: EH97FR fit that vehicle. It wasn't clear to me if that particular version of that RAV4 hybrid had any issues with this hitch. If this hitch doesn't fit, do you have any other recommendations. Thanks

The EcoHitch Hidden Trailer Hitch Receiver - Custom Fit - Class III - 2" # EH97FR will indeed fit your 2021 Toyota RAV4 Hybrid XSE. It will actually fit all versions of RAV4 for this model year, so you are good to go!

If you are wanting wiring for your RAV4, the Curt T-Connector Vehicle Wiring Harness with 4-Pole Flat Trailer Connector # C56434 will also fit all versions for this model year. It's also plug and play, though one wire does need to be run to the 12v battery for needed power.

On that note, what are you wanting to use the hitch for once it's installed?

I chose this hitch for my 2023 RAV4 Prime because it gave a little extra ground clearance for my bike rack compared to other options. Install was typical of other hitches I have installed.

I installed on 2024 on XLE hybrid. Fit perfectly and did not have to modify bumper. Works great for a bike rack.

What I like about this receiver hitch is two fold. First no cutting required of the rear bumper cover and most important, the Toyota hitch requires removing the aluminum beam behind the cover. I see no need in removing this, the Ecohitch does not require this. Also. Only the draw bar tube is visible. Looks great!

Hi Taran, I installed an EH97FR hitch myself on a 2024 Toyota RAV4 PRIME (PHEV) with no bumper mods. Would be happy to share installation photos and details if you like, in JPG form (photos) and a PDF. Video instructions were extremely helpful. Just share your eMail address and LMK - easy to send. On my RAV4, hitch was a perfect fit, no mods except for me replacing the stock machine screws with stainless-steel M12 -1.25 x 30mm bo =lts, for long-term bolt quality. - Steve C.
