2015 GMC Yukon

Received and installed a front hitch on our 2015 GMC Yukon. As suggested by the manufacturer, I did have to cut away some of the front lower trim in the center, which does take a little effort but none the less, I was able to do on my own. You also, as told in the instructions, have to drill the holes in your frame. If you don’t know your way around tools, it may be best you have it professionally installed.
That being said, the product itself was a perfect fit. I found no issues with the installation and it works beautifully. I could not have asked for a better front hitch. Tight, easy to access and affordable.

2017 Chevrolet Suburban

Hitch fit perfectly and instructions were simple and accurate. We needed the front hitch on our 2017 suburban so we could carry bikes and our travel trailer. I did have to modify the bumper trim but the measurements provided were perfect. Greg was great to work with and etrailer is the best. Wear safety eye goggles when drilling holes!

Fit perfectly. Came with all the essentials including the nut fish wire. Installed in about an hour

  • 2015 Tahoe Front Receiver Hitch Install Picture and Air Dam Trimming
You are going to have to trim out a section of your front air dam to install the Curt Hitch part # C31073 that is 3 inches wide by 1.50 inches tall. A similar amount of trimming is required for the Draw Tite hitch part # 65064 as well. The other option is to just remove the air dam. I attached a picture that shows a similar Tahoe with the air dam removed and the hitch installed.

  • Best Front Hitch Ground Clearance for 2017 Chevy Tahoe
As far as ground clearance goes for your 2017 Chevy Tahoe you will want to use the Curt Front Mount Trailer Hitch Receiver # C31073 over the Draw-Tite Front Mount Trailer Hitch Receiver # 65064 because the instructions call for you to cut the front fascia whereas the Draw-Tite instructions sort of hint that you may not need to. This means the Curt sits up 1.5 inches taller.

As far as ground clearance goes for your 2015 Chevy Suburban you will want to use the Curt Front Mount Trailer Hitch Receiver # C31073 over the Draw-Tite Front Mount Trailer Hitch Receiver # 65064 because the instructions call for you to cut the front fascia whereas the Draw-Tite instructions fort of hint that you may not need to. The access hole that needs to be cut for the Curt installation if 1-1/2" x 3" so at the most you will have an approximate 1-1/2" of the receiver hanging below...

  • Air Dam Cutout and Installation of Front Mounted Hitch on 2018 Chevy Suburban
For your 2018 Chevy Suburban the Curt Front Mount Trailer Hitch Receiver # C31073 and the Draw-Tite # 65064 will both require air dam trimming. I've linked a couple photos to assist. The dimensions of the Curt cutout diagram is shown and then the installed Draw-Tite hitch to assist. If the hitch were below the air dam it wouldn't allow the ground clearances necessary for your Suburban.

  • Front Mount Hitch Fits for a 2017 GMC Yukon XL Denali
I'm not sure about any differences between the Denali model or your 2017 GMC Yukon XL but I can say that the front mount hitches that fit your Yukon XL are the Draw-Tite # 65064 and the Curt # C31073. The Draw-Tite doesn't require any drilling but you will need to trim or remove the front air dam while the Curt does require drilling but may not require trimming or removal of the air dam. I have attached installation instructions for both that you can check out. If you let me know what...

  • Will a Front Mount Hitch Interfere with the Adaptive Cruise Control on a 2015 GMC Yukon XL Denali
A front hitch itself, either # C31073 or # 65064 for the 2015 GMC Yukon XL Denali, would not interfere with the adaptive cruise control on the vehicle. But when you have something in the hitch that item could interfere with the sensors for the cruise control.

  • Comparing Curt and Draw-Tite Front Hitch for a 2019 Chevy Tahoe
The front mount trailer hitch options for a 2019 Chevrolet Tahoe, the Curt Front Mount Trailer Hitch Receiver part # C31073 and Draw-Tite Front Mount Trailer Hitch Receiver part # 65064 both require a slight trimming of the front lower bumper fascia. I took a look at some install photos of either hitch and it does appear that the Curt hitch offers more ground clearance so that is what I recommend. Furthermore, the Curt hitch has a clearer install look since the crosstube is more hidden...

  • Comparing Draw-Tite and Curt Front-Mount Trailer Hitches for 2019 Chevy Suburban
There are two main differences between the Draw-Tite Front Mount Trailer Hitch # 65064 and Curt Front Mount Trailer Hitch # C31073 that fit your 2019 Chevy Suburban. One is that the Curt does NOT fit Suburban models with the Z71 Package while the Draw-Tite fits all models. Second is that the Curt hitch requires drilling into the vehicle's frame for installation while the Draw-Tite does not; because of this I recommend going with the Draw-Tite # 65064 front mount hitch (pictured) for your...

  • Is There a Front Hitch Compatible with a Grille Guard for a 2018 Chevy Tahoe
I have a solution for you to put a front hitch on your 2018 Chevy Tahoe but unfortunately in situations like this, it's an either/or predicament since there are not any front mounted hitches that don't mount in the same spot as a grille guard or bull bar would. If you want to swap your grille guard for a front hitch I recommend using the Curt # C31073, which I really like because of the durability of the powder coats on Curt hitches; this is going to help resist rust and corrosion that...

  • Does Curt or Draw-Tite Front Hitch For 2017 GMC Yukon Have Better Ground Clearance
The two are essentially equal; both measure ever so slightly over 9-1/2 inches from the top of the frame brackets to the bottom of the hitch receiver. Due to that, I recommend going with the hitch that is the easier install for your 2017 GMC Yukon, which is the Draw-Tite: - Draw-Tite Front Mount Trailer Hitch Receiver # 65064 The reason why the Draw-Tite # 65064 is easier to install on your Yukon is because it does not require any drilling into the frame, which the Curt does. So the Draw-Tite...

The correct Curt Front Mount Hitch for your 2018 GMC Yukon is part # C31073. Though we have not had a chance to do a video showing the Draw-Tite # 65064 being installed on a 2017 GMC Yukon, I have linked the installation instructions for you to take a look at. No drilling into your Yukon's frame is required to install this hitch and the only modification required is the removal or trimming of lower plastic air dam, which is also true of the Curt hitch # C31073 that fits your Yukon (the Curt hitch does not fit models with Z71 Package); I have also linked the installation...

  • Front Hitch, Motorcycle Carrier and Front-End Suspension Support Kit for 2017 Chevrolet Tahoe
Transporting a dirt bike on a front-hitch-mounted motorcycle carrier is a good option when you also need to tow a trailer. The key is making sure the hitch and carrier both are rated appropriately for the load. Both front-mount hitches we have for your 2017 Tahoe, Draw-Tite # 65064 and Curt # C31073, share a 500-lb vertical load rating (same as tongue weight). This means that the combined weight of the bike and carrier must remain within this hitch capacity. You can see all hitch motorcycle...

  • Can Trailer Valet XL Be Used on Sloping Driveway
The Trailer Valet XL, part # TVXL2 with 2 inch ball and the # TVXL25 with the 2-5/16 inch ball are meant for use on level surfaces only, they wouldn't work well on the slope you describe.. Actually, I have a much less expensive and easier to use alternative. I'd install a front mounted receiver like # C31073 unless you have the Z71 package or # 65064 if you do have that package. The front hitch will allow you to easily put that camper right where you want it, slope or no slope, every time.

  • Front Mount Receiver Hitch for 2020 Chevy Tahoe
As you mentioned, the Curt # C31073 and Draw-Tite # 65064 are the only front mounted receivers we offer for your 2020 Chevy Tahoe. Both hitches have the receiver located under the front bumper, which is necessitated by the way the vehicle front clip sits in relation to the frame members the hitches bolt onto. The way the vehicle is designed would prevent the receiver from sitting any higher on the front of the vehicle. If I had to choose between the two, I'd go with the Curt model, as...
