Question:

Hi. You may have answered this already but I have a new 2023 mazda cx 30 and want to use it with my 2inch thule bike rack. Is there any hitch for the cx30 work a 2 inch receiver? I have an adapter but it just slips in without any tightening mechanism and rattles all the time. Thanjs!

I do have a solution for you but the only trailer hitch options we offer for a 2023 Mazda CX-30 are class 1, 1-1/4" like the Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver part # C49CR which is what I recommend. That said, as you mentioned you can use a 1-1/4" to 2" adapter like the Trailer Hitch Receiver Adapter part # e43YR but this not only reduces capacity but it also increase play/rattle. Therefore, I know this is not what you want to hear but your best option is a new rack like the Saris Freedom Bike Rack part # SA4412B which fits a class I, 1-1/4" receiver. This rack is also super lightweight at only 22-1/2 lbs.
