Question:

I want to be sure my 1 1/4inch Rocky Mounts GuideRail bike rack will work with the Curt C49CR receiver. What is the maximum allowable shank distance from center of pin hole to end of shank that this receiver will accommodate?

The distance from the center of the hitch pin hole to the end of the receiver on the # C49CR is approximately 2" and the distance to the end of the bumper is 4". Unfortunately, the shank really isn't a concern for the GuideRail since it is only compatible with Class II hitches and this is a Class I.

Since a Class I like the Curt is the only hitch option for your 2023 Mazda CX-30 you will need to use a different bike rack that is Class I compatible like the Kuat Piston Pro # KU66ZR. This has a similar design, the same 60 lb capacity per bike, and works with a Class I hitch.
