This Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver gives you solid hauling capability with a Class III rating. It’s built to handle up to 5,000 lbs gross trailer weight and 500 lbs tongue weight, or up to 6,000 lbs GTW and 600 lbs TW when used with weight distribution. That kind of strength is ideal whether you’re towing a small camper, pulling a utility trailer, or mounting a cargo carrier. The 2" x 2" receiver opening fits most common towing and accessory setups.
You don’t need special tools or a welder to get this hitch on your vehicle. The fully welded design bolts directly to the frame using the included hardware kit. Everything lines up cleanly for a straightforward install in the driveway. There’s no drilling or fabrication needed—just follow the included instructions and you’re ready to tow.
The hitch is constructed from sturdy steel and finished with a gloss black powder coat over a protective base coat. This combination helps resist rust and corrosion while keeping a clean appearance after years of use. The round-tube design adds a bit of style under the rear bumper without standing out too much.
Because it uses a standard 2" receiver opening, this hitch works with typical towing gear like ball mounts, bike racks, and cargo carriers. Just choose the ball mount and hitch pin setup that match your trailer or accessory. The flexibility makes it easy to build out your tow system the way you want it.

Works great if the bumper is in good alignment. I had to adjust mine. One person can install this on ground with some floor Jack's to hold the cross brace.
Products came as promised-well packaged. One box was beat up on one corner, but the hitch was fine. I'll be installing them in a week or so. If everything fits, I'll be a happy camper.

2003 sport trac, straight forward, simple to mount, I have muscular dystrophy and mounted it myself (i checked specs). did have to file bumps off in a couple holes so bolts and hitch pin would go through. idk if just paint or drill error, wasnt an issue though.
After waiting for weeks to get my product (twice through Amazon that I had to cancel because product never shipped after weeks) and twice through eTrailer (first time cancelled because product got stuck in a UPS center and evidently couldnt be found) I FINALLY received it just to find it all scraped up because of the way eTrailer "packed" it. They just tie wrapped 3 heavy parts together (the tie wrap wasn't tight and allowed them to move freely) in some packing paper that allowed 3 heavy parts to scrape against each other in transit. Terrible packing job that caused all kinds of scaring. I'm repairing dings and repainting myself as there is no way I am going through that again.
Received the trailer hitch in just a couple of days, and only took 30 min. at tops to install it. All the mounting brackets fit perfect, and I couldn't be more pleased with the ease of installation and excellent quality . Thanks to all of your crew for an excellent product.

This was my first order to etrailer and I am so pleased! I ordered a Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver for my 2001 Ford Explorer Sport Trac. I had it shipped to a friend and it arrived in three days. I really believe we could have installed the hitch in 30 minutes. However, the truck was rear-ended last year and I did not realize that the bumper had been pushed forward. Never-the-less, we loosed the bumper bolts, pulled it back out and quickly installed the hitch. Even with the additional adjustment required, we had the hitch fully mounted and ready to go in less than an hour.

I ordered this hitch from AutoZone after waiting a month they could not deliver. Still needing a hitch I googled and found etrailer. Placed my order and my hitch was delivered within five days. I got it today, and like the instructions said, it took just under 30 minutes to install. Very easy, simple directions. And I love the powder coated black finish. Best looking thing on my truck! Plus, the shipping was super fast! Only 2 days too get it!
Had some issues on my 2005 Sport Trac rear bumper being out of the correct position to begin with. Once that was corrected, installation was great. Highly recommend. Hitch was on my front porch within 48 hours.
