Fit perfect and had all the parts

Awesome early delivery

by:

It came sooner than expected, and fits perfectly.

by:

Install was very simple but have patience using the wire to feed the bolts. Feels sturdy and looks great! Will update review after usage.

by:

I shouldn't be receiving my package until 2 days from now but got it 2 days ago. Wow. Install was great with the included bolt fisher. Definitely get a second person to help. I did it myself in an hour and that's only because I forgot the u bolt and had to remove and reinstall. Will definitely be using this site in the future as I own a landscaping business and need all the extra time and saved money possible.

by:

Soooooo easy to install! My 1997 CRV didn't even need the holes drilled larger. I was prepared to fight my way through it, but it could not have been easier.

by:

fit exactly in my Honda crv

by:

Fantastic product, very easy to install, no modification required at all.

by:

Easy install with one person with good mechanical aptitude. Grab a Uni bit to bore out the rear bolt location if the hole is not wide enough. Definitely make sure you install the unbolt as you lift the back. You can bolt the front bolts on and allow the unit to hang while getting everything else into position.
Great fit and well built.

by:

4 stars because I haven't installed it yet. But I took it out of the box and it is a beefy set up, looks high quality and it showed up super fast. Could be a 6 star if it fits correctly.

by:

Fast delelivery...easy instructions on you/tube and installation in 1 hour, alone..I must be a professional fit was spot on. perfect

by:

Great Hitch that installed without a hitch. I use it in conjunction with a motorcycle carrier

by:

The receiver was slightly bent in arrival , had to bend it back in to place to fit good .

by:

Excellent hitch for a 2001 Honda CR-V but we had to drill out the center feed hole. No worries with a step drill bit . Bolts are large so I didn’t mind at all . Muffler side was a pain to get one of the muffler holders past the hitch after we had bolted it all together. Used a crowbar and all was good. Cheers.

by:

Carol helped me swap out the out of stock hitch I chose for an in-stock hitch and it arrived in couple days. Installed in around an hour and it looks great. Thanks again etrailer!

by:

Excellent product and hardware. Instructions were a little vague but a YouTube video did the trick.

  • U-Bolt With Curt Trailer Hitch # 13314 Will Not Install Properly on 2000 Honda CR-V
If you torqued all of the bolts that attach to the frame before installing the u-bolt then that is why you are experiencing an issue with getting it to install properly. If you skip to the 3:00 mark on the attached video of us installing the Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver # 13314 on a similar 2000 Honda CR-V you can see that our team member puts the u-bolt into place before putting the hitch up into place. Keep in mind that trailer hitch hardware is only supposed to be torqued to specs once....

  • Recommended Replacement Hardware Kit for a Curt Trailer Hitch on a 2000 Honda CR-V
Hi Omar, yes. For your Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver # 13314 you can use # RHK to replace your hardware. You just need to enter the hitch item number in the box (13314) and you'll be good to go.

  • Does Using a Hitch Adapter Change the Hitch Tongue Weight Capacity
Using a hitch adapter like the one shown in the photo you provided will lower the tongue weight of your existing hitch by 50 percent. The Class I hitch on your 2009 Accord would normally have a tongue weight capacity (maximum amount of downforce that can be applied to the hitch without causing damage) of 200 lbs. Because using the adapter moves the load further away from the hitch, more leverage will be applied to the hitch, so using the adapter lowers the tongue weight capacity to 100...

  • Replacement Hardware Kit for a 2001 Honda CR-V Hitch
Yes, we do sell replacement hardware kits. You will need the Replacement Hardware Kit item # RHK. This kit will include all the necessary bolts with proper grades, spacers, nuts, and the fish wire tool you will need to complete the installation. The price is on the right side of the product page. You will want to go where it says Hitch Item Number on the right hand side of the page and type yours in. It looks like there are only two class III hitches for the 2001 Honda CR-V and I have...

  • Trailer Hitch Recommendation for a 2000 Honda CR-V
When installing any trailer hitch you would have to use all attachment points specified in the instructions. So if you wanted a higher capacity hitch like # 13314 you would have to have that center tow loop welded back onto the vehicle. You will want to consult the vehicle owners manual regarding the towing capacity. From our experiences, the 2000 Honda CR-V is capable of, at most, 1,500 pounds, regardless of what the hitch is rated for. Going with a lower capacity hitch like # 24790...

  • Spare Tire Mount Bike Rack Recommendations for a 2000 Honda CR-V
I would recommend a spare tire bike rack. You could use something like Yakima SpareRide 2, part # Y02599 or the Thule Spare Me, part # TH963PRO from Thule. Both of these will fit your spare mount and can be adjusted so that the bikes are centered on the rear of the vehicle. If you wanted to carry 3 or 4 bikes, a hitch mounted rack would be a better option for you. If you decided to go this route, you would first need to install a hitch. I would recommend the Curt Class III, part # 13314....

  • What Parts Can I Use to Adapt a 2 Inch Bike Rack to a 1-1/4 Inch Hitch for a Honda CR-V
You can use a 1-1/4 to 2 inch adapter like part # HTAD, however, this will reduce your tongue weight capacity by 50 percent. Draw-Tite hitch, part # 24792 has a tongue weight capacity of 200 pounds. If you were to use an adapter like # HTAD, your capacity would be 100 pounds. This means that the combined weight of the bike rack and bikes must be 100 pounds or less. If the tongue weight capacity of the vehicle is less than 200 pounds, take 50 percent of that number. Your vehicle towing capacities...

  • Recommended Trailer Hitch Receiver, Wiring, And Ball Mount For 1998 Honda CR-V
For your 1998 Honda CR-V, I recommend the Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver - Custom Fit - Class III - 2" # 13314. This is a far stronger hitch that will give you some options for many accessories as well as ball mounts. I never recommend a Class I hitch receiver if other options are available as it is extremely limiting in every way. • Can a Trailer Hitch be Installed at Home on a 1999 Honda CR-V and Does Exhaust have to be Lowered
You can install the Curt trailer hitch # 13314 at home. A lift is not required, but raising the vehicle using a jack and jack stands to give you more room will definitely help install a hitch on your 1999 Honda CR-V. If you have someone that can assist you in holding up the hitch when tightening the hardware, that is also going to be a big help. Lowering the exhaust is necessary for proper hitch installation. It is actually not nearly as difficult as it sounds. Just make sure that you...

  • Hitch and Bike Rack Recommendation for a 2001 Honda CR-V Carrying 3 Bikes
The best hitch for carrying three bikes that is available for your 2001 Honda CR-V would be the Curt Class III Hitch # 13314. This is a Class III hitch that has more than enough capacity to carry three bikes. The Draw-Tite Hitch # 24790 that you referenced is a Class I hitch that only can handle 2 bikes at most so it would not be a good choice for you. There are Class II hitches that are 1-1/4 that can handle 3 bikes, but it looks like there are only Class I and Class III hitches available...

Curt multi-fit trailer hitch 13950 is designed to fit certain frame widths. Measure the center to center distance from one frame rail to the other. If the distance is 31 to 41 inches then it is possible this hitch will fit your 1997 Honda CR-V. However, it has not been tested so I cannot guarantee that it will fit. The only other thing I wanted to note was that this hitch is going to require the use of stabilizing straps # 18050 with all non-trailer accessories such as bike racks and cargo carriers in order to maintain the warranty.
