Hi everybody, Andy here with etrailer.com. Let's take a look at this Front Runner Wavian gasoline jerrycan with spout. This red NATO style military specification jerrycan is going to let you take extra gas with you while you're out on your overlanding adventures. And this is going to hold 5.3 gallons, and it can fit most jerrycan holders. Now if you are looking for a way to carry a jerrycan like this on your Front Runner platform rack, the good news is we do carry just what you need. We do have a horizontal mount single jerrycan holder for Front Runner platform racks.
And you can see it there on your screen. You can take that item number that you see there and put it in the search field of our website, and that will take you to that holder. And you can add that to your order if you desire. Now this does have a wide internal breather pipe that's going to provide splash free pouring. And this high flow safety spout has a bayonet style attachment that prevents leaks.
And when you are ready to pour the gasoline out of the can, you will have to pull back on this to allow that gas to flow freely out of the can. So that is a safety mechanism that we have here on this spout. And so let me go ahead and give you an overhead view of this as well just to show you that in action. And then when you're ready to remove this, this spout can clip onto the jerrycan for easy storage. So what you do is lemme go back to our previous view here.
All you're gonna do is lift this lever, and that's going to allow you then to detach this spout like so. And then looking overhead again, as you can see, this is just going to clip right in place. And then that's going to hold very secure for you. And then this cap, it has a locking pin here that's attached, that's going to prevent accidental leaks when this cap is closed. So I'm gonna go ahead and close this cap.
And then I'm just going to push this mechanism down and then run my pin through there. And so that is going to be nice and secure and I'm not gonna have to worry about fuel accidentally leaking or spilling out of that. So this is going to be very easy to use and also very secure once you have this closed. Now, this is constructed of cold rolled steel. The interior is lined with fuel resistant resol enamel to prevent rusting. And because of that resol lining reacts with water, this jerrycan should not be used for water, whether it's potable or non-potable, or animal feed. And the red powder coat finish is not only gonna look really attractive, but it's also going to prevent corrosion. So again, from this angle here let me just show you how to put this spout back on. I'm gonna pull out our pin like so and then release this mechanism and bring the cap open. And then remove our spout like that. And then just secure it with that latch and then you'll be ready to pour. Now this jerrycan does meet the Department of Transportation standards for fuel canisters. It is CARB and EPA certified. And let me go ahead and give you some overall dimensions just so you have a good idea of the size of this can. So I'm gonna be measuring the overall height first from top to the top of our handles here. And as you can see, we are sitting right at 18.5 inches tall. And then the overall width, and again, I'm not including the spout in these measurements we're sitting right at about 13.5 inches wide on the can. And then the overall depth, we're sitting right about 6.5 inches deep. And the can itself weighs about 12 pounds. Well, that's gonna conclude our look today. I do hope that it was helpful for you. Again, my name is Andy, thank you for joining me.
