Will this coupler BDA200C0317 work like the eZ latch couplers? Automatically latch when lowering onto ball ?

Hi Scott; the Bulldog Cast Head Coupler w/ Wedge Latch # BDA200C0317 does not have the same functionality as the eZ-Latch. If you want an adjustable channel mount coupler that lets you hook up when the latch is in the closed position you can use the Demco Trailer Coupler # DM12688-95.
