Everything was perfect! Took half an hour to install luckily my holes where already pre-drilled.
Very high quality. Very easy to install. Does not take away any ground clearance. On the 2004 Ram, no drilling and no cutting fascia. I will use mine mainly for carrying bicycles while towing our travel trailer.
Item is perfect...I installed it by myself in about 45 minutes on my 2004 Dodge Ram...No need to drill holes as they are already there, and didn't need to trim the air dam below :O)...the fish wire was great!!! easier to fish the bolt etc from the mounting holes straight up through the frame than trying to go all the way to the access hole though...

It wasn't hard to install, instead of the wire I used two pen sized telescoping magnets to wriggle them in the square holed plates. My plans are to use this hitch in place of tow hooks. Good looks and sturdy!
I didn’t know how much I would need this until I moved into my new house just yesterday. The garage door is much shorter at our new house, 7 foot vs. 9 feet. Using the front hitch and a 5 1/2 drop hitch, I have about two inches of clearance when putting my boat in our new garage. Without the front hitch I would have been able to get the boat in the garage. Not to mention how much more the trailer is to steering inputs, the garage is much narrower that our old one. If you have a tight spot to park something this will make your life much easier! Installation was simple and instructions well written. The tool to install the mounting bolts is a brilliant idea.

Better than expected. I didn’t need it when I first bought it, but we moved shortly after I installed the hitch. I left a 9 foot garage door on a detached garage. With a 5 in hitch my boat clears a 7 foot garage door. It will not low enough off the rear receiver.
I like my front hitch.
Pros: easy to moderate ease of install.
Comes with all the hardware.
I have tested it using a winch on the front to move a 62 Lincoln continental, No problems.
Con: My truck is a stock dodge 4x4. My point being is it is not raised, but higher than typical dodges. I had to buy a front hitch guard because the hitch kept hitting the concrete parking barriers when you park. So if you are going to drive off road, keep in mind this hitch may hit.
If I sold my truck I would want to pull this part off if there was a way to put it on a new truck.

Works great, holds the winch in place and allows me to pull out cars or trees from easier to reach positions.
Easy ordering, quick delivery, relatively simple installation. Took a couple of hours from start to finish and worked perfectly to back my camper/trailer into a tight space.

Having a front trailer hitch on my truck is great. Now I can pull my camper with the rear hitch & put my bicycle carrier on the front hitch. Have not tried moving my boat or camper with the front hitch yet, but I know it will be great for putting either one in to a tight spot.
The service I received from etrailer was outstanding; the customer service rep that helped me with my order was super friendly and very helpful with all my questions and concerns and processed my order on the spot. I had my shipping confirmation right after I placed my order and received my hitch in 2 days from start of my order... The only issue I had was from the maker of the hitch I purchased, the wire they give you to fish the bolts was too short from my access point on the frame of the truck but with a little extension added on the wire given to me allowed me to installed the hitch with no problems... etrailer in my book is A+++ and I will buy all my truck and hitch needs from this awesome internet store.. Front hitch was fairly easy to install. Instructions easy to follow only complaint was wire for fishing bolts thru frame broke while pulling 2nd bolt thru. Had to make one from wire I had. Hitch works great for my needs.
Received my hitch promptly and installation went fairly easy The only problem I had was that the fish wire tool was to short for the front two holes on both sides. I was able to attach a coat hanger to it to extend the reach and complete the job
The video was very helpful in positioning the hitch
All and all I am very pleased with this hitch.
we hooked it up today thursday march 20 2014. the hitch was very easy to install. we then hooked up a receiver with a winch mounted to it. we then hook the cable from winch to a tree to test the trailer hitch and the winch and receiver all at once it all worked great.can't wait to test it all out four wheeling. my friends will see it soon and they all want the same hook up.

Like most everything we’ve bought here this worked well and was a good value.
The installation was only similar to the instructions but worked out well in about and hour start to finish. The wire to snake the bolts into place is clever.
I had ordered a similar hitch from Amazon weeks before receiving it damaged three different times. Three is a charm and I started searching elsewhere when I found you guy's, etrailer.com. The product arrived undamaged. Though I've not installed it yet I believe it will be a whole lot easier due to the wonderful installation video you sent me. The product is great. Unfortunately, one came with my snowsport plow, so I have an extra. I was able to easily install.
product was good only one problem the fish wire was to short had to attach wire fishing leader to make it work. THANK GOD FOR BLUE FISH
