I just want to be certain that 31320 hitch will fit my 2004 dodge ram 1500, and if I will need to trim fascia

Curt front mount hitch # 31320 is a confirmed fit for your 2004 Dodge Ram 1500. There is no trimming indicated in the instructions, linked to the right, for a 2004 model, just 2006 and later models. I have included a link to a video showing installation on a 2006 model so you can ignore any trimming parts. Everything else should be exactly the same on your 2004.
