Waited until my hitch got installed to give this review. This hitch fits great had minimal trimming and the bolt up went smooth. This is installed on a 2025silverado 1500 LTZ 4 x 4. Would highly recommend.

Hitch is well made. Box it arrived in ,was damaged. The hitch didn’t appear to have any damage. Installation was easy, except I had to modify one of the anti-rotation brackets for clearance to the tow hook. Truck is a 2025 Chevrolet 1500 high country.

I am glad the installation went well and that the hitch didn't end up damaged as well. It looks nice on the vehicle. What are you planning on using the hitch for mainly?

2025 Chevrolet Silverado 1500
2nd Trail boss install. Much easier as it was not a diesel so I didn't need to go in from the front and pull the bumper (and the fascia and the grill and the core support cover) However, Curt needs to check their dimensioning regarding Chevy trucks. Same hitch, same truck frame, same alignment problem with the silver bolt in the kit. I needed to use the the OE bolt that has a lead-in and self straightening design.

NOTE: the lower air dam is deleted with the Trail Boss model. I added it to cover the hitch cross bar and clean up the view.

@BrookeM Brooke, If you take a close look at the instruction photos for the Chevy installation. It shows Curt used the OE bolt, not the one in the kit. When you reach out to them.... For the Trail Boss you also need to remove or modify two lower guards. I didn't go into that detail because it was the same as the black 2024 Trail Boss and the hitch cross bar provides the same protection. Also my installation

I think the instructions could be a little clearly written. The photos are hard to see and there are no videos for my 2023 Silverado 1500 RST. The 2023 Silverado video is for a 3500 and it is different. What you have to do to install the hitch is first remove the tow hooks and grind down some space on the tow hook and the rectangular washer to allow for them to fit on the drivers side. That should be written and shown in the manual. Other than that, it is a very nice product.

An excellent hitch (my 3rd front hitch from etrailer/Curt) but not the quick bolt in that I expected. The hitch had not been verified to fit a Trail Boss and etrailer quickly offered to accept a return when we realized this. I decided to keep it and see what the install took as I could see that the hitch would fit, but the tools to access the bolts would not.

It was a project, most of the front had to come off. But it’s in and looking good. I would like it a few inches higher but that is clearance for an air dam my truck does not have (I may decide to buy that piece to close the gap)

No cutting or drilling was required but two mounting shields for the lower cooler mounts were discarded. The hitch itself provides the protection these did. They could be re-installed with some modification and either shorter bolts, or drilling through the hitch and using the OE bolts.

I am going to mount a winch on the front of my truck, The product was very nice, and well built. I am really happy with everything except the box was tore up and pieces were sticking out, you could see the scratches and concrete on it where it hit hard on concrete floor. I know this had nothing to do with etrailer. Thank you very much for my order.

E Trailer got this to me on time as always, no complaints there. My issue is the hitch sits too low to be usable. I bought it to put a dirt bike on the front. I have a 2025 GMC Sierra Elevation 4x4. The bottom of the hitch sits 5" off the ground. I bashed two driveways the first day out, if it wasn't now damaged I would return it. With a bike on front, I had to use a 6" hitch lift adapter and extender which is just too sketchy to use on road. I'm gonna take it off and hopefully sell locally for $50 or so. I would not buy this unless you have a lifted truck.

Sorry to hear it didn't work for you, Ryan. You aren't the first person I have heard saying this sits very low. I would recommend a different one, but it looks like this is the only one we currently have available for your truck. Can I ask why you aren't using your rear hitch for carrying the dirt bike?

@LazerS I use the rear hitch for my camper trailer, then put a quad and dirtbike in the bed, and need a third spot for my sons dirtbike which would go on the front hitch.

I had a hard time finding a front receiver hitch. I would of not gotten that model truck had I known. I finally got one and place I go to for work such as this told me would not fit.
I went to another guy that I was sure could make it work. He did and been fine. I am not in good health and living off SS so not really able to get out and do much. I mostly wanted this to haul dual sport on front of truck as well as use plug in winch for my 4x4.
Well I ended up getting a bigger bike and it will be to much weight for front hitch. May work but don't wish to push it.
Still can use winch and front bike cycle carrier as well as luggage rack. Nice to haul wood or generator when camper is on back, or boat.
I like it and would not have truck without one.

I'm really sorry to hear about the trouble with your order. Damaged packaging, missing hardware, and the clearance issue? Totally understandable why you'd be frustrated. The only hitch we carry with better ground clearance is part # EH58RR, which installs through the front fascia. Just a heads-up though, it’s not made for diesel models, so if your truck is diesel, it won’t be a fit. Thanks for letting us know, and again, I’m really sorry this one didn’t work out.

    Hey Matt! Not intended means you're going to have to trim off some extra pieces of your front end. The Curt Front Mount Hitch item # C22NR will fit your 2023 Silverado 1500 LTZ. If you do not like the idea of making extra or excessive modifications to your truck, I recommend going with the EcoHitch item # EH58RR for all gas engine models or item # EH25HR if yours has the diesel engine.
