The patent-pending, High-Density Tri-Extruded (HDTE) material features a rigid core for strength and produces surface friction with the carpet for better grip. Advanced surfacing creates channels that carry fluids and debris to a lower reservoir, which has more channeling to help minimize fluid movement while you are driving. Once fluids become trapped in the reservoir, away from shoes and clothing, they are easily removed from the WeatherTech FloorLiner over the door sill.

Today on our 2015 Ford Fusion we will taking a look at and installing the weathertech front floor mats, part number WT444831. Also available in tan, part number WT454831. First we'll need to remove the brackets that secure the existing floor mats. Go ahead and pull up until they release. Place your weathertech floor mat in, first underneath of the pedals and slide it in. These are going to be fully contoured to meet the vehicle's shape. Place the brackets over the top of the prongs and press down until they click in place, securing them down so they don't slide around.
You can see that they're going to have fully raised edges to keep the water and debris down inside the floor mat, as well as the channels to channel any kind of water down into the base. They have a nice texture so you can grip and not slide around. You can see how it goes far up behind the gas pedal so you won't have to worry about it hanging up on the gas pedal or the brake pedal like most floor mats would when they bend over and get caught up. These are going to be fully contoured again, to the vehicle's shape to make sure that it fits in there nice and snug. Now let's go ahead and do the passenger side. Go ahead and remove the passenger side existing floor mat.
Lift up and pull it on out. The weathertech floor mats are going to fit inside that groove real nice, as you can see here. Again, they're going to have that raised edge so all that water, dirt, and debris will slide down in, channeled by the grooves in the floor mat. Again, it's going to have that nice texture and grip so your feet won't slide around. They're going to be super easy to clean.
