How's it going, Durango owners This is Ed here with etrailer.com and today we're gonna check out the WeatherTech trim-to-fit cargo area floor liner. We're gonna see how well it fits in the back of a 2024 Dodge Durango and get a little bit of feedback on it. So, let's check her out. As far as the liner itself, it's designed to be trimmed to fit your specific vehicle. It's a universal, so it'll go across a lot of SUVs and compact SUVs. You're just gonna use scissors or a box cutter or something sharp, a razor, and trim it to fit your specific setup.
On the inside of the area here, WeatherTech has their ridge, where your spills, so if a bottle of water or a case of soda explodes in the back of your vehicle, it'll keep it all contained to this area. And what's gonna keep everything in position is gonna be the raised nibs on the bottom. So that's gonna keep it exactly where you want it and where you place it, as you go down the road. So let's go ahead and slide this guy in so you can get an idea of what it looks like and how much you may need to trim. So this model is a GT, and it doesn't have the subwoofer that some models will have, but you can trim this out, if you want this to go, to keep this cargo space pocket, or your sub, trimmed out the way.
You can just make it a nice custom fit pretty easily. And I would say, like you can kinda see, it's giving you a little bit of resistance, it's not sliding much, and that's not like a lot of force, but I feel pretty comfortable that this is a good fit for the back of the Durango. Going with the trim-to-fit type of floor liner for the back of your vehicle gives you the flexibility of customizing it exactly how you want to the interior. Alternatively, you can go with a custom fit that's going to just drop right into position and you don't have to worry about the trimming portion. As far as how well this will work, WeatherTech has a great reputation as far as being durable and protecting the material underneath it altogether.
Now one thing as far as maintenance that I usually point out is, it's a great idea to grab the Tech cleaner along with the your WeatherTech products, 'cause it'll help it stay looking newer for longer.
