Features to know about
No Drilling: Custom Brackets Cut Down Install Time
The Demco Premier Series Above-Bed Base Rails and Custom Installation Kit makes getting your fifth-wheel hitch mounted much easier. The custom-fit brackets line up with existing holes in the frame, so there’s no drilling required. This setup avoids known obstacles under the bed and drastically reduces installation time. The sturdy, black powder coated steel brackets mount beneath the bed to create solid attachment points for the rails above.
Ready for the Hitches You Already Own: Industry-Standard Rails Fit Major Brands
You don’t have to swap out your hitch to use this kit. The included base rails use the industry-standard pattern, making them compatible not only with Demco Premier Series hitches but also with B&W, Curt, Draw-Tite, Hidden Hitch, Husky, Reese, and Valley fifth-wheel hitches. That flexibility means you can keep your current hitch setup or change brands later without replacing your rails.
Durable Design for Long-Term Use
Built from black powder coated steel, the rails and brackets resist corrosion and hold up to years of towing. The kit includes the two base rails, custom brackets, and all necessary hardware so you can complete the installation with confidence and have a clean, solid foundation for your fifth-wheel setup.

See what our Experts say about this Demco 5th Wheel Hitch Rails
Since your truck bed is shorter than 6 feet long there's only one slider hitch that will have enough clearance to allow you to make tight turns and that's the Demco Hijacker Autoslide part # DM8550040 which slides back 22-1/2 inches which is about twice as much as other options. Also since this hitch slides back automatically you wouldn't have to worry about getting out and manually operating the slider either.
Then to install it in the bed of your 2007 GMC Sierra 1500 you'd need the... view full answer...
It is possible to install a fifth wheel hitch in the bed of a 5-1/2 ft bed 2011 Chevy Silverado 1500, but since the bed is so short it makes things a bit more interesting.
The only slider hitch we offer that will slide far enough back to give you turning clearance is the Demco Hijacker Auto-Slide part # DM8550040. This hitch has 22-1/2 inches of sliding travel compared to most sliders that can only go about half that.
For a rail kit to install this hitch you will need the custom install... view full answer...
It is possible to tow a camper with a 5-1/2 foot bed if equipped properly, which I can help you do.
First thing you will want to do is make sure you find a 5th wheel hitch that is rated properly for your camper. Next with a short bed you will definitely have clearance issues with the truck and camper when making turns so you will want to make sure that you get a hitch that allows for extended travel like the 22-1/2 inch travel that the 13K Hijacker Demco 5th Wheel AutoSlide # DM8550040... view full answer...
Since the truck bed of your 2010 Chevy Silverado is the super short 5-1/2 foot bed there is only one slider hitch that's going to give you enough clearance to make a super tight turn. For that you need the Demco 13k Slider Hitch # DM8550040 as it can slide 22-1/2 inches.
If you have a set of fifth wheel rails already in the bed of your truck you would be good to go but if you are need of them still you would want the part # DM8552013-71 which is a custom kit for your truck that will install... view full answer...
With the length of the truck bed in your 2007 Sierra, a standard sliding fifth wheel hitch will not provide enough clearance for you to execute turns when towing. There are two ways you can go at this.
I recommend going with the Demco Hijacker Autoslide, part # DM8550040. This hitch gives you 22-1/2 inches of additional clearance so you can make those tight turns. For above-bed rails you can use part # DM8552013-71.
If you want full use of your truck bed when you are not towing I recommend... view full answer...
For a slider hitch for your 2014 Chevy Silverado 1500 6-1/2 foot bed I would recommend an auto slider like the Demco Hijacker part # DM8550034. Not only will this allow you to have tight turn clearance but since the hitch slides automatically you will never have to worry about getting out of the vehicle and manually sliding the hitch when in a parking lot. I attached a review video for you to check out as well.
For the rail kit the best option is go with a custom install kit like the part... view full answer...
There are a couple of Demco HiJacker autoslide 5th wheel trailer hitches. One fits above the bed rails and one fits below the bed rails. The benefit of the below the bed rails is that when the hitch is removed the bed is essentially clear for cargo. I can give you recommendations for both.
For above the bed rails you can use either installation kit # DM8552009-71, which is a universal kit that will require drilling to install the frame brackets, or # DM8552013-71, which is a custom kit... view full answer...
