Today I'm going to be showing you a little bit more about the CargoSmart spare tire holder for E-track and X-track.Now the nice part about this spare tire holder is that you can move it wherever you have in E-track system or an X-track system. You can move it to get it off the floor and up on your wall or secured safely onto your floor.So with this mount, your spare tire is going to be mounted on the inside of your trailer, on your E-track. It's not going to be mounted on the outside of your trailer like other spare tire holders are. So when you leave your trailer unintended, you're not going to have to worry about your spare tire being stolen.So when it comes time to use your spare tire, you just simply take a 19 millimeter wrench, loosen that nut and then spin the nut off.
Then simply lift off your spare tire. So after you get your spare tire off, I do recommend putting that nut back on so you don't have to worry about keeping track of it.This latching system is going to work just like all your other E-track accessories. You're just going to pull back on that little tab, lift up and then slide out and it's that easy. Then when it comes to putting it back into place, you just pull back on that tab with your thumb, lift it up and drop it into place.So with the spare tire holder you are going to have about 4 1/2 inches of usable thread on it. So it's going to fit a wide variety of different rims.
So if you have a golf cart that you carry spare tire for, or a four wheeler ATV or side by side, it's going to fit any of those applications so long as it fits in the bolt pattern on your wheel.One thing you might notice about this spare tire holder is when not in use, it is sticking out from the wall a little bit. You don't want to have to worry about running into it or getting your shirt caught on it or anything like that. So you just take it off. And I like to store mine in the front of the trailer on another E-track system that we have to keep it out of harm's way.So when you're ready to put your spare tire on, you can just line up your holes, put your tire on, thread on your nut. So when you're tightening down this nut, you don't want to tighten it down so much that you end up damaging your wheel or your E-track.
Just tighten it down enough to where the tire's not going to swing too much and that it's safe and secure.Well, that's going to do it for a look at the CargoSmart spare tire holder.

Works exactly as expected. Mounted the spare tire of my trailer to the wall of my trailer. Same thread as the studs, so was able to use a spare lug nut instead of the included nut.
Has not fallen off wall of trailer in 1000s of miles of travel - I think it’s great. Can be used for more than just a tire btw

Still holding the tire, just like it did a year ago. This is pretty basic piece, it either works or it doesnt. Hasnt rusted either.

Solid mounts and so much easier than traditional mounts. Havent had to pull either spare yet, but its good to know theyll always be secured in place.

Buy it, you won’t be disappointed. The cost is super affordable and definitely worth it. Did you ever make the mistake of throwing tour spare up front in the trailer thinking you wouldn’t need it? Ow you never have to worry. Open the door and spin it off the stud. Wished I had this twenty years ago!

The only draw back I would complain about is the threads on the tire mounting stud. They are not protected while sliding the spare on. I could see issues if the spare were repeatedly needed being used. I have a tandem axel so it’s not a huge issue. Some sort of sleeve would be useful in protecting the threads. Other than that, I’d still buy another.
I was a little skeptical about how well it would hold the weight of the tire up high but it is doing a good job. The only thing I think that could be better is some kind of spacing device to bring the nut out a little farther so you didn't have to use a box end wrench to tighten it down. Otherwise, an easy way to get the spare tire up and out of the way.

After a year they are still holding fast at the anchor point. I mounted this high on the wall of the trailer and after a year of constantly being beaten up and down dirt roads it has held fast. Beefy and will probably outlast me!!
I mounted this on a low level e-track and let my spare tire rest on the floor of the trailer while securing it to the wall with the spare tire holder. I'm not sure I'd use one of these to suspend a spare tire above the floor. Two may do the trick.

This was exactly what l was looking for to keep the spare tire for my enclosed trailer out of the way but close at hand if needed. I mounted it so that the tire would set on the floor to take the weight off of the bracket. I put a strip of 7/16” OSB on the wall on each side of the bracket so the tire fits tight against the wall, this took out all of the vibration and made it solid.
Product is as described. Works for mounting tire inside trailer.
