Installation
This custom-fit T-One connector plugs into your vehicle's wiring harness, which is located inside your trunk, behind the tail lights on both the driver's side and passenger's side. You will need to remove the rear threshold panel, any floor panels or trays, and some of the interior trim.
Once you've plugged in the T-connector, run the hot lead with the attached fuse holder to the car battery, which is also in your vehicle's trunk. Connect the fuse holder to the positive terminal on your battery and insert the provided fuse.
Once installation is complete, the 4-way flat connector will be stowed in your trunk.
It is recommended that you use a small amount of grease on all electrical connections - the plugs on your automobile and the 4-pole connector itself - to help prevent corrosion.
A ModuLite power module is built into this T-One connector. Because most trailers run on a two-wire system - wherein the brake and turn signals are carried on one wire - the separate brake and turn signals from your vehicle's three-wire system need to be combined so they are compatible with the wiring system of your trailer. This power module functions as a tail light converter to combine the brake and turn signal functions of your automobile so that they run on one wire to properly activate your trailer's tail lights.
Note: This will not affect how the tail lights on your vehicle operate.
With a ModuLite, your trailer's lights will be powered without overloading your vehicle's electrical system. Because the module draws power directly from your car's battery and bypasses the electrical routes that are used by a basic wiring harness, there is virtually no draw on your tail light circuits.

This is a real good, well designed and thoroughly thought out product. I was able to watch the video for the harness installation for my Trax vehicle and it was just like having someone there to assist me. I followed the written and video directions and had no problems. I am glad I didn't have to run the 20' power wire clear up to the battery, thanks to the great alternative guidance in the video, which was better and simpler. I shorted the rating a star due to my discovery that some directions were not required, such as the special tool to remove the harness connector on the passenger side. I just unplugged to taillight connector instead and inserted the T-harness. Also the video and instructions are a bit vague in putting all the parts back in their proper places. All in all, this was a much easier process than finding all the correct wiring, and where to manually splice the trailer light cabling onto each of them.
Delivery was quick and with the help of U Tube I was able to complete the project easily.

The packaging was great and the item works great. the installation was easy and had easy to follow directions. My 14 year old grand kid could of done it. Exellent company Will defenitly order from them again.

Chuck - 11/14/2018PLug and Play T-one T-connector 118659. Hardest part was removing the interior trim for my 2015 Chevrolet Trax. The instructions are quite vague. Once I got it hook up, It worked fine. Hooking it up was fairly easy after the panels were out of the wat.

Daniel H - 12/08/2019The harness worked perfectly! The [installation] videos were clear on how/where to run wires and mount the unit. I think a part was missing that needs to note to drill a hole to install the ground screw (or I missed it). Aside from that, it really works perfectly. I'm happy the power wire that runs on the outside of the car is thicker to put up with the elements. The video was very helpful in routing. I wish the price was a little cheaper but, its a solid unit and is still worth it.
Watch the install videos before installing hitch and wiring harness. Nice to have a helper handing tools if working under car ramps. Saved about $150 in installation fees by doing it myself. I did feel install was moderately difficult, though glad i did it
This product could not have been any easier to install. I watched the installation video several times even before the hitch arrived so I had it in my head how things should go. I put the back end of my car (2019 Chevy Trax) up on my car ramps and went to work. I followed the instructions and it was like everything fell into place. Once I got the hitch up past the exhaust I could hold it up with my knee on one end and my hands on the other end. Got the screws started on each side on the bottom of the frame to hold it up and then the side bolts were a piece of cake. If you have a Trax like I do and need to haul small loads around, I highly recommend this product. It truly is a well designed custom fit product. I plan to purchase a 5 x 8 foot trailer with a fold down ramp that weighs 400 pounds so my pay loads will be around 800 pounds max. I think I'll nick name it "The Mini Hauler Express". No pictures because mine wouldn't be any better than the video.
Super easy install, all parts were there. Delivered next day at cost. Definitely will be my number 1 go to moving forward. Next I need a brake controller for my 2016 Chevy Trax. I'm debating on the Curt bluetooth because it's effortless an no wires. 230 dollars though but probably well worth it. Give etrailer your business they deserve it and have tutorial videos. I watched mine 5 times before I got out and it only took me 10 mins to install. etrailer is number 1 in my book.

Perfect Fit, simple install. I decided to use a factory standoff (stud) for the ground screw, rather than drill a hole. I bought a nut and toothed washer at the hardware store for 25 cents. Easy.
Great to get for trailer hookup. It plugged right in with no splicing . If you ever want to take it off you can easily. I love this wiring hookup.
