You know those old-school lanterns that slap your backside with every step? Yeah, this isn't that. Lightweight and collapsible, it tucks neatly in your pack, ready to shine when darkness falls or keep your devices powered wherever life takes you.
For adventurers who count every ounce, this lantern is a pack-friendly win. Lighter than your energy bar stash, it won't tip the scales or take up precious space, leaving more room for essentials (or that extra chocolate bar). Trek further, pack smarter, and keep your campsite glowing without the weight slowing you down.
Out in the backcountry, power outlets are scarce, but the sun is always on duty. Charge up at home with USB-C or rely on solar power to keep the lantern ready for the next adventure. The built-in power bank also keeps small devices running, so the night shots, maps, and campfire reads don't have to end early. However far the trail leads, there's energy to match your journey.
Whether you're deep in a late-night strategy game or settling in with a book, this lantern keeps up. Run it on high for six hours of bright, focused light, or switch to low for a steady, 50-hour beam that lasts through the night, and even the next night. Its clear finish ensures crisp, consistent illumination, bright enough to see, yet easy on the eyes so you're never left fumbling in the dark.
Your gear should keep up with you, not the other way around. This lantern collapses to a slim inch, so it fits anywhere, and it's IP67 rating means it handles rain, dust, and accidental drops like a champ.
Sometimes you need a gentle glow to set the mood, sometimes you need full brightness to light up the night, and sometimes you need a strobe function. Maybe it's for an impromptu dance party under the stars, or maybe (and more likely) it's to signal for help if you're lost or in trouble. Either way, this lantern has the setting to match, whether you're grooving in the wilderness or guiding rescue your way.

Hi everyone. Steven here with etrailer.com. Today we're looking at our BioLite Luci original inflatable solar lantern. Now folks, these are gonna be great when you're loading up your pack, 'cause every ounce is gonna count in your gear. They're lightweight, they're super, super small, inflate, like you see before me today, five inches tall, four and 1/4 inches wide. I did go ahead and pull another one.
We carry these in different colors as you can see, and when they're deflated, they're only about an inch compressed, so they don't take up hardly any space in the backpack, pack, whatever you're using it for. And on top here, you've got a cord plugin option here for USB if you wanna charge it that way. But solar charging will do its thing, probably the easiest. And you have a latch here on top or a button option here that you can make larger or smaller, and you can use it to hang it or carry it around. You've also got one on the bottom, but that one is not expandable like this top one.
Now, this has four different settings. You got low, light, medium, super bright, and then flashing. And I'm gonna go ahead and shut off the overhead light so we can kind of see these in action. So again, low light, medium, bright, and zooming out here. So, flashing, off, low, medium, bright.
Keep in mind the focus here is trying to auto focus with these LEDs, so I apologize for any kind of blurred or those kind of things. The flashing sequence does not flash too fast, so it shouldn't affect your eyes too bad, I don't think. As far as using it, you could put it up like this, you could hang it, and honestly it's lightened up a whole lot of areas, so pretty impressive for how small it is. It's gonna be great for maybe inside of a tent or something like that, or just outside whenever you're trying to maybe set up some stuff or do some stuff and you don't wanna brighten up the whole area. So it's very nice.
It is IP67 rated, so it can handle the outdoors and those kind of things. It is inflatable, as you see. You got the inflation at the bottom here. You simply blow it up with your mouth or a pump. And then again, when you're not using it, compress it back down to the small portable size. Well that's gonna wrap it up for our quick look together folks. I'm Steven. Thanks for watching.
Perfect item for remote camping or even using on the back patio. Will give it a go in Alaska soon, but expect it to perform well as to previous use of the Original.
This lantern BL35MR has such a clever design. It inflates to spread the light, charges via solar or USB, and can also charge your phone. I really like how soft and even the light is not too bright, just comfortable. Perfect for off-grid setups or as an emergency light in the car or home.
