Hi everybody. Andy here with etrailer.com. Let's take a look together at this Hughes Autoformers dual mode LED camping lantern. This LED camp lantern features two different lighting modes to create the perfect balance of convenience and ambiance. What I have on right now is the bright white light, and that's going to give powerful illumination that's gonna be great for cooking, setting up tents, and navigating the campsite. And then I'm gonna go ahead and collapse it.
That turns the light off, and then this is what it's going to be like when you have it turned off. It's gonna be a nice compact design. But then when I lift this up again, we have our candlelight mode, and that's going to, as you can see, emulate a natural flame. It's gonna help create a soothing light that's gonna be great for a relaxing evening under the stars. Let me go ahead and turn my studio lights off here just to kind of give you a better idea of what this is going to look like in low light or dark conditions, so you can really see the effect of this candlelight mode.
And let me go ahead and go to my wide view here, and then I'm gonna go ahead and collapse it, and then bring it back up. And then that's going to bring our bright white light mode back on. So you can see it's significantly brighter. It lights up quite a bit of my table here. Just shine it on the wall behind me, and I'll go back in for a closeup view.
You might notice the light flickering a little bit. That's not the light itself, that's just the way the LEDs look through the camera, so that flickering is not present in real life. So again, collapse it, bring it back up. And you got that really cool candlelight mode. Let me go ahead and turn my studio lights back on.
So as you know, LEDs are gonna be long lasting and energy efficient. This does have a magnetic base here, so you're gonna be able to easily stick that to some metal. I've got something here just to show you the effectiveness of it. So those three magnets there will be able to give you an option to secure to mount this on something that's metallic. But also we have this plastic hook here. I'm just gonna flip this out. So you could use that hook to hang this from maybe inside the tent or something like that. And then that can be easily folded in. And then we have these metal, I'm calling them handles. So this is gonna be a way to carry it like a traditional lantern. And again, they're metal. And then you can just fold these down, push that down. And so it's a nice, it's really a great, compact form when you have this light pushed down and collapsed. So let me go ahead and give you some overall measurements just so you have a good idea of the size. So when this is fully collapsed, looking at the overall height, we're sitting right at five inches tall. And then when this is fully extended, right at about seven and a quarter inches tall. So if I wanna go to the candlelight mode, I'll just collapse it, bring it back up, candlelight mode, collapse it, and then bright white light mode. So that's how easy this is going to be to adjust. And then taking a look here, I'm gonna go ahead and tighten that back up there. Taking a look at the base, we're about three and three-eighths inches wide. And then it's a little bit narrower here, up top, pretty close to about three and a quarter inches wide. So this does take three AA batteries. That's not included with this. So you will have to provide your own batteries. And we do carry Duracell batteries here at etrailer.com. So if you're in need of batteries, you can check them out here. And so you're just going to unscrew the base to put in some batteries, then you'll just screw that back on, and this top does come off as well. And maybe you could store something in there if you wanted to, but then that just clips back into place, like so. So I'm a real big fan of this. Sure, I think it would be cool if this thing was rechargeable, but for three AA batteries, it is going to be very convenient to use, I think, very easy to have on hand. It's not limited to camping or anything like that, but you can use it around the house, even keep it in your car as well if you're needing some kind of light source. I just love the fact it's very easy to switch between the candlelight mode, and then the bright white light mode. So it feels very solid. It doesn't feel like it's gonna easily break or anything like that. This is a plastic construction, and again, those handles are metal. But I think that's gonna wrap up our quick look today. I do hope that our time together has been illuminating for you. Again, my name is Andy. Thank you for joining me.
