You know those old-school lanterns that slap your backside with every step? Yeah, this isn't that. Weighing next to nothing, this solar-powered lantern collapses down, fitting easily in your pack, charges by sun or USB, and glows into the night.
When your pack is already loaded with gear, every ounce matters. This lantern weighs less than your energy bar stash, so you can keep your bag light and your campsite glowing, all without sacrificing space for that extra chocolate bar.
Out in the wild, power outlets are in short supply. But the sun? It's always on. So, you charge up at home with USB-C or let the daylight fuel your lantern, either way you'll have steady light without the battery anxiety.
Six hours on high for those intense strategy games in the tent. Twenty-four hours on low for cozy night reading. However you use it, this lantern keeps the light on long after the fire dies down, so you don't have to stumble through camp in the dark.
With its clear finish, this lantern shines even brighter, casting a crisp, steady glow across your campsite. It's bright enough to light the way but cool and steady enough to be practical without feeling harsh. Plus, with its dimmable settings, you can dial in just the right amount of light, if you need full brightness or just a soft glow to wind down.
Your gear should keep up with you, not the other way around. This lantern collapses to a slim inch, so it fits anywhere, and it's IP67 rating means it handles rain, dust, and accidental drops like a champ.
Sometimes you need a gentle glow to set the mood, sometimes you need full brightness to light up the night, and sometimes you need a strobe function. Maybe it's for an impromptu dance party under the stars, or maybe (and more likely) it's to signal for help if you're lost or in trouble. Either way, this lantern has the setting to match, whether you're grooving in the wilderness or guiding rescue your way.

Hi, everyone, Steven here with etrailer.com. Today, we're looking at the BioLite Luci Original Inflatable Solar Lantern in a nice clear color. Now, folks, whether you're loading up your pack or your backpack or just your daily travels or something in the car as a backup, having a light that weighs less than a pound that is super small, portable, would be a great feature to have. So I did pull another one here. We sell these in multiple colors. As you can see, this one is sold separately.
But I do wanna show you how thin they get. So literally, about an inch, maybe a little less than an inch, depending on how you compress it whenever they're deflated. So very nice, compact. Again, we're looking at the clear one here today with this green top. They are solar powered as you can see.
They have an inflation port at the bottom, you would inflate it or deflate it there as needed. And whenever it's inflated like today, I've got five inch tall by about 4 1/4 inches in diameter. And as you can see, there's a loop here on the bottom that you can pull up and hang it on as well as one here on the top. The top one's pretty nice, 'cause you can unbuckle it, change the buckle around, and then you can have a little taller of a hanging option. You do have a charging port on here as well.
So it does come with a little USB charger. If you so choose, you can charge it that way. However, it is solar, I recommend using the solar if at all possible. You got three different light settings. Simply push the power button to change through them.
You got low, medium, and high, and then you have a flashing option as well. So let's go ahead and turn this on and turn off the overhead lights in the studio today and take a look. So I apologize for any kinda buzzing or flickering, that's actually my camera trying to auto adjust there, so bear with me on that. So go into the flashing. I'm gonna go ahead and back out to my other camera here. And I'm gonna go ahead and turn back to the different modes, low. It's gonna focus here, medium, high. So high, if I hold it up to my face height, it does give off a nice amount of light. Honestly, I could probably see inside a full tent here with the lights off, so very nice. You could flip it upside down and shine it up like this, and that'll give you kinda like an underglow or something of that nature. So again, very nice portable light. This is the BioLite in the clear option. You're gonna get 24 hours of low light, and you're gonna get six hours of runtime with the highest setting. It is also IP67 rated, so that means it can handle rain, sand, pretty much those kind of things and be safe. My name's Steven, thanks so much for watching. As always, here at etrailer.com, we welcome any kind of photos, feedback, good, bad or ugly. Let us know what we can do to make things better for your experience. Have a good one.
Awesome little gadget to use to provide a bit of ight for your tent, camper, cabin, etc.
Simple, efficient, and built for emergencies. This little solar lantern is lightweight and folds flat, so it’s easy to store anywhere. It gives off enough light for basic tasks and charges itself during the day. It also has a SOS feature that signals for help. Great for tossing in a backpack or glove box. If your car breaks down in a remote area or your phone dies, using an SOS beacon from your lantern can make your location visible to passing cars or rescue crews. This would also be good for hikers that like to hike in remote areas alone.
Everyone should have a Luci Light! Makes a great gift too.
Everyone should buy it from eTrailer for great service, excellent communication and fast shipping!
I LOVE THE COLOR OPTIONS ON THIS THING. I was impressed by how lightweight and compact this lantern is. It’s solar and USB rechargeable, and gives off a soft, steady glow that’s great for reading or winding down. The inflatable design is clever easy to store and super packable. If you’re looking for something that fits right into your gear without taking up space, this is a great option.
