Works for my fat tire bike. Once it's set up, it's easy to install and remove. I had to cut out some of the plastic cladding on the underside of my bumper on my 2014 Subaru Outback. Good value. I've had no issues.

GI love the Rack, it is easy for me to handle, (as a 89 yearold rider.), two bikes ride and fit very nicely. Like how it folds down,and how it folds to open the tailgate . Great quality for the money, I would highly recommend this rack

All in all pretty good. The arms that grab the front wheel have loosened a little bit and move side to side. They have never failed, just feel a little wobbly. The hitch receptacle is also hard to tighten but might be due to the receptacle it self. Used rack on a long trip and the bikes moved slightly side to side, but nothing serious.

Car: 2017 Honda CR-V This is a great rack! There's not a lot to the assembly, other than getting the first two long bolts in, those were tricky. Once those were in there, aligned properly, the rest of the assembly was pretty easy. Attaching the rack to the hitch receiver was the easiest part of the whole thing! The rack is really nicely portable, and will easily store in our apartment during the off season. It takes less than a minute to get it loaded into the hitch receiver. The cable lock is a little bit flimsy, but should hopefully deter casual thievery. What I would have loved to have seen were locks in the retaining arms as well, so those couldn't be messed with by strangers. Otherwise, this rack is really great, and I would highly recommend it.

I like it a lot! I think it has solved my issue with having in easy, yet stable way to haul my bike on my 2012 Honda accord coupe. It's only been one day, so I can't speak about the durability. But it's definitely use a friendly and sturdy.

I looked at a LOT of bike racks, but when I saw the product video for this Hollywood rack and it was holding the bikes rock solid, no loose bouncing anywhere, I decided to try it and I haven't been disappointed yet. It is solid in the mount, it holds the bikes securely and the locking bars are a good deterrent to anyone wanting a quick steal. I don't leave mine on the car all the time, but so far in the weather here in Florida, it's holding up nicely. After doing extensive research before buying my first ever bike rack, I chose the Kuat Sherpa 2.0 platform rack. I considered trunk mounted, hanging and platform racks before settling on a platform rack. I like the stability, the ease of loading and unloading and very importantly, the absence of contact with the frame of my bike. My bike has a beautiful paint job that I want to preserve. I looked at lots of racks online and at a bike shop and opted for the Kuat Sherpa 2.0 because of the excellent engineering, including the design of the packaging that becomes a work bench for assembling the rack, the relatively light weight (32 pounds), the inclusion of a hitch lock and a bike lock, the stability of the platform, even with a 1.25" connection and a class I hitch, and the ease of operation. Additionally, the overall appearance of the rack suggests high quality. Time will tell how well it ages but I'm pretty confident that I'll be pleased with it. I was very fortunate to find a used, like new Kuat via Etrailer at a meaningful discount that still qualified for the manufacturer's warranty! Thank you Etrailer! A tip to pass along that was shared with me, U-Haul is an excellent source for buying and installing hitches to accommodate bike racks - very attractive pricing, high quality installation and a super unlimited lifetime warranty. I’ve had the Kuat Sherpa for about a year now and could not be more happy with this bike rack. When not in use I keep it safely in the garage- it only takes a few minutes to install it to my Honda Civic and safely secure two bikes using its exquisitely engineered and designed system. I’ve used this for 900+ mile trips with no issues whatsoever - the perfect bike rack!

As someone with extensive manufacturing experience, I can say this is a sturdy and robust product that will work well for anyone who can follow directions and mount bikes correctly on it. Having said that, there are a few items people should be aware of that can cause users some issues. The included “ramp” is not tall enough to work with a standard size pick up’s trailer hitch. I have a dodge ram 1500 series and the rack sits way too high when mounted on the truck hitch for the ramp to even touch the ground. If you plan on using a standard size pick up or a suburban or Denali type vehicle and are planning on using with heavier bikes or ebikes, buy the longer ramp made by Thule to help with getting your bikes on the rack. It costs about $[XX] and won’t nest inside the rack like the shorter one. But if you have heavier bikes or have issues lifting your bike, it’s a must have. In my opinion, Thule should have designed it with the longer ramp to start with to accommodate standard size trucks and SUV’s but it is what it is. The mounting struts take a bit of getting used to in order to configure properly to fit your bikes. Make sure you aligned your pedals and frame so that the bike nearest the back of the vehicle doesn’t rub against the frame of the rack before locking the bike into place. Once you find the proper pedal alignment for your particular bike, everything clamps down nicely and is very sturdy. Overall, aside from the ramp issue adding another $[XX] to the cost of the rack, I’m pleased and it should last for years. The locks are a nice feature as well. Protects your rack and your bikes from theft.

We have 2 electric bikes, one of which weighs 66 lbs. so I was looking for a rack with ramps. This also has wheels to transport the rack from garage to car without having to carry it. Let me tell you, the wheels made this rack worth every penny.Lot of racks have ramps, this is the only one I found with wheels and they are a game changer. Once the wedge is tightened into the hitch there is no play/wobble at all.

Love this rack and use it every day on my Toyota Tundra pickup. I ride my cruiser on the beach and loading/unloading bike/s is really easy. I travel to riding locations as well and even at highway speeds, two bikes remain secure and wobble-free. My bikes are expensive and the stand-up mode of securing them means no worn paint or scratches. If any complaint it's not made for the salty air here in FL and certain parts corrode...even with daily rinsing off. The rack is perfect for the fat and oversized wheels on bikes I've owned...even heavier ebikes...WILL BUY IT AGAIN.

Arrived very quickly and in good condition. Working with etrailer was great - they are on the ball, unlike some other retailers. The product was as expected, although I took off a point for really poor instructions. If Kuat had just taken a little bit of time to provide more details, it would make the job so much quicker. I haven't yet tested the rack with bikes, but is installed and all the bits seem to work as promised. One point thatI don't like is that the locking pin that attaches the unit to the hitch is really long and doesn't have anything that would keep if from rattling. I put in my own rubber spacer to hopefully eliminate any rattles, but it seems like adding a couple rubber washers to the kit to help prevent rattles would be an easy and inexpensive solution.

Fantastic bike rack. Switch it between a Honda Ridgeline and a Subaru Outback Wilderness and it works perfectly. Accidentally lost the locking pin that secures the rack to the trailer hitch and when I inquired with Kurt about ordering a replacement lock keyed to match the locking cables on the rack and the Kuat rep sent one to me for free. (I removed the rack and left the lock sitting on my car bumper. Later that day I drove off and lost the lock on the highway).

Great bike rack. It is easy to install the hitch on a vehicle and to remove it. The Kuat NV 2.0 provides a smooth, gentle ride for road bikes and mountain bikes. Great purchase. Highly recommend.

I just installed this on Friday and we used it for a short trip to the bike shop. So far, it is not bad. I had to laugh; Yakima applied their logo upside-down! I read the directions at least 3x to be sure I didn't have them reversed...I did it right. The directions also show a logo on both, upper & lower rack. I guess they wanted to save some $$ ? Assembly was easy with just three steps. The hitch has a lock to lock it to the car, which is great, but the cover won't stay on. It takes 2 hands, one to hold the lock in place and the other to try to put the cover over the lock. It just pops off the second you release pressure. I will try again in warmer weather, then tape it on so hopefully it will mold to the lock and eventually stay put without the tape. I am not convinced of the stability of the bikes, really. Going over bumps they do shake. For safety, we are going to add straps from the luggage rack and through the bikes, just in case. I really like the cable locks to secure the bikes to the rack. With our old rack there really wasn't a way to lock the bikes to the rack, and I always worried when we were traveling and stopped for food.

I can't say enough good things about this bike rack.I was going to go with a cheaper model but I'm glad I spent the extra money for this Saris.The rack installs and comes off the hitch quickly.The bikes also are easy to load and unload.This thing is great.The first one got ruined by the carrier and etrailer sent me out a new one immediately.Top notch service.

Thanks to etrailer’s excellent information, I managed to find a bike rack that would carry 2 e-bikes and work with my existing class I 1-1/4 in receiver. I had the added challenge that I carry the bikes on a car that I tow behind my RV, so it needed to be rated for a tow vehicle. The Saris Superclamp EX met all my criteria, and for a reasonable price. I was also happy to find that it’s made in the USA. Install was fairly easy, couple of minor hiccup’s as I figured out the drawings, which, to be honest, weren’t entirely clear. But it’s pretty intuitive, so just added an extra minute or two, and probably wouldn’t phase the more mechanically minded. I’m a somewhat out of shape 50’s female, and I don’t have any trouble moving the rack around, it’s a nice weight and fairly compact when collapsed. It’s very easy to access the hatch when the bikes are not mounted. Haven’t tried it with bikes on yet. Once installed, it is rock solid. Loading my 45ish lb bike (with battery removed) is doable. In a perfect world it would have a ramp, but given my other criteria were met, I’m happy to do without the ramp. The rack seems like it holds the bike firmly during transport so overall, I’m extremely happy with my purchase. Also, there wasn’t a ton of unnecessary packaging to get rid of, but things were well protected in shipment. Customer service from etrailer is stellar as well, they helped quickly with a minor issue. Great rack! Fits the receiver on my '22 Outback perfectly. My bike(s) ride stable and secure. I also have a Specialized e-bike that weighs 36 lbs., and the rack handles the weight just fine.

Great product and easy to put together. I did notice that when using the 1.25” hitch, there is a little bit of play with the hitch moving north and south. Not overly concerning though as I have read that a little bit of play is normal. Additionally, riders who use a mud fender on their front fork might have a bit of trouble getting the swing arm snug as can be. I recommend removing your mud fender from the front fork before traveling for the most snug fit. 4/5 due to the little bit of play with the 1.25” hitch. All together, the rack is affordable, and works great. Would recommend to a friend.

Works well for transporting two 29" wheeled mountain bikes. However, after one year it's starting to rust in several areas (see attached photos), and the front wheel arms are becoming increasingly difficult to raise and lower. Finally the locking cable is extremely rusty as you can see in the attached photo. I'm not sure how durable this rack will be long term.

This bike rack is awesome! It is incredibly easy to use for one person and holds our bikes very securely. I highly recommend it for it's convenience and reliability. The cable locking feature is an added bonus but I would like to see a heavier cable used; one that has higher cut resistance. Overall, I am very happy with this rack and would purchase again.

We love this bike rack for its ease of use and solid construction. Bikes are quick and easy to load in and lock down tight. The hitch-receiver tightening system works great for a wobble-free rack and the hinge and locking lever work smooth and solid. It looks nice too.

I am very happy with my purchase!!! It all began with a pleasant experience contacting Etrailer to confirm that the Kuat Sherpa 2.0 would work with my Class 1 1-1/4" hitch on my 2011 Honda CRV. Roger answered my questions and assisted me with placing my order. I ordered on a Monday and I received it on Thursday in California! It did take me about 2 hours to assemble because I initially tried to follow the written instructions that were in the box. I remembered that several reviewers said that they recommend that you follow the You Tube videos for the Kuat Sherpa 2.0 assembly instructions. Once I followed the videos the assembly was a snap! The bike rack is very sturdy despite weighing in at 35 lbs. I am a 60 year old relatively athletic female and have no problem attaching the bike rack to my hitch! Here's hoping the bike rack holds up for years to come!

Love the fit and solid quality build of this bike carrier. Can't wait to try it out. I am using this carrier for two e-bikes and I am confident that it will hold up very nicely and will have no problem holding the weight of the 2 bikes.

Check out my other review on the hidden hitch for a 2015 BMW 4 Series for the majority of the review, but this thing is great. Easy setup and install, does all the things it's supposed to do. Mounting and removing bikes is a snap with the included clips (big difference from some of the cheaper variants with nylon ratchet straps). Fits very snugly in my 2" receiver, and pretty solid on the highway and over bumpy roads.

This is a great bicycle rack that is well built. When I received the rack, the box was damaged from shipping and the lock keys were missing. I contacted the staff at etrailer and they were incredibly quick to provide a solution. Awesome customer service! Will gladly do business with etrailer again.

A very good, inexpensive, lightweight bike rack. Folds nicely and doesn't interfere with the hatch opening on our 2023 XC40. I wouldn't consider this a heavy duty rack, more suitable for short trips to the riding trails. Good for urban living, as opposed to 4 wheeling out to a mountain destination. Several plastic components. Two things I dislike is 1) the hitch pin lock is cheesy plastic, and because of the threading bolt on the rack's hitch, you can't use a sturdier 5/8" locking pin. and 2) the cotter pins should have a small security cable.

Bought a new Mazda 3 HB and decided to go with a hitch bike rack. I've had a Kuat Trasnfer bike rack. That rack did it's job, but I felt the Sherpa or NV 2.0 Base would be better in every way. I've bought hitches and Kuat from etrailer and I knew their online prices and customer service was the best in business so it was a no brainer to go back to buy another bike rack. It was a tough decision between the Sherpa and NV 2.0 Base, but I felt had all the right checks for me to go with the NV Base 2.0. Once I ordered the rack, it was shipped the same day and arrived at my doorstep a day earlier! The box was ok, but the packaging inside was excellent. The quality is top notch and the manual is easy to read. Not gonna lie, the rack is heavy. I knew it was going to be heavy after researching on it and it's not a big deal, but doing a solo assembly wasn't going to be easy. Luckily I had my son with me to assist. Assembly took 15min (with another person). Manual doesn't state NM torque, but I set it around 8-10nm to bolt down everything. Once I put it on the hitch, I turned the anti-rattle knob and it locked the bike rack down to the hitch like a vice grip. It's solid and wont budge at all! everything on this rack is sturdy and top quality. The bike and rack barely sways during the drive. I can't express how impressive this rack is! The only down side to this and it's not even the rack, it's the hitch lock pin. It feels like an after thought and it's too thin. it flops around. With the price I paid for this, I was hoping for something little better. Overall all, the Kuat NV 2.0 Base is hands down the best bike rack on the market and I'm glad I went with it.

Nice Rack! Easy to use, seriously. It takes less than a minute to place and secure a bike. And it's very secure. The bike moves around a little, with movement of the vehicle, but it's just a visual thing. It's very secure.

Easy to assemble Exactly what i expected

Absolutely love it. Put it on the car the first day and took it out with the bike. Was a little iffy about it at first but after a few minutes my fears were eased. This rack is rock solid and I’m so glad I purchased it.

This bike rack has worked well for our family of 4. It allows us to safely and securely carry all 4 bikes through the mountains of Colorado with our Hallmark Milner truck camper. Strong and durable rack that barely moves when driving. etrailer's customer service was outstanding. The rack was initially delayed and after one phone call to check status a warehouse manager quickly solved a minor issue and got the rack shipped. etrailer was fantastic in managing this transaction with extremely limited staffing. etrailer is the first place I check for anything recreation as I've never had anything but stellar service.

Excellent rack, a year later still in great condition. No movement at hitch when driving like other racks. Love the extra bar to work on bike in parking lot. Cracked a part on the rack when backing up accidentally hit it, I called the company and they immediately sent out new part no questions asked and rack is like new. Easy to access the drop and raise bar even with bikes on .A note that with larger mountain bikes only three really fit on the four rack without adjusting handle bars.
