This is a great ball mount for my Draw-Tite 2 inch hitch. It has a 1 inch ball hole and 5/8 inch pin hole. Mine came with the hitch pin, but I use a locking one that I purchased separately so it would be much harder for a would-be-thief to take. When not in use, I take it off and store it my trunk area. As with the Draw-Tite hitches, this ball mount is very well made and suited to the task of towing. Another great product at a great price!

I purchased this Curt Ball mount 10-1/4" because I also bought ball hitch mounted mud flaps and my existing hitch was too short.This hitch was maybe a little too long, but it should work.I hope this combination will protect my horse trailer from my nasty gravel roads!

With good information from the website it was easy to order a Curt 2" Trailer Hitch, the Upgraded Circuit Protected Tail Light Converter Hardwire Kit w/ 4-Pole Connector and Circuit Tester - 119178KIT, Curt Ball Mount for 2" Hitches (3/4" Rise, 2" Drop - 10-1/4" Long - 7,500 lbs - D-4), Curt Pin and Clip Hitch Receiver - C21500, Rubber Tube Cover for 2" Trailer Hitch Receivers - I-728,Review, and 2" hitch ball 40038. Parts were delivered earlier than the initial estimate. Self installation (on a sloped drive way) took just under 2 hour. The fit of parts was very good, instructions and on-line video's were very helpful. My Kia did not have the wire plug in option, but the splice connections in the wire kit were easy to install. Most of the parts are hidden from view when the ball mount is not used.

My usage of your hitch is a bit unusual, I think. I pull a two ton roller with my Ram and I've used your cushioned hitch to smooth out the process. The roller Lunette just dropped over a 2" ball and then banged and jerked on the ball neck. Check out the photos for my adaptation.. I can flip it over and use the 2" ball! Have enclosed some photos. The cushion is holding up very well and it takes a beating!! Thanks

We have a Pink Tractor (google Mom's Pink Tractor) that we pull to events, mainly in Ks, Ok, Mo, and Ne. We have around 35 events a year we take the tractor to to promote breast cancer awareness. The other day my wife and I were leaving for an event, i had let a friend borrow the hitch to see how he liked it. In less then a mile from the house my wife started complaining about the trailer jerking. That is coming from a lady that really was upset when I paid that much for a hitch. She told me to stop and buy one. (a long and expensive trip, we had to stop at a casino so she could rest her neck) I could write a review with a lot of trailer talk, but, this story tells the story.

The biggest issue I have is that the video on the receiver said the rise can go up or down. I try to put the ball in the hole in the rise position and it does not seat all the way the way it does in the down position. Not sure if I can Seat by drawing down the nut or not .

Very happy with this ball mount - provides just the amount of drop we required for a level tow of our GeoPro travel trailer by our RAM2500. Plus, the extra length not only allows a tighter turning radius, but also allows us to lower the truck tailgate without having to detach the trailer. Huge improvement on all accounts for us compared to our prior setup. The product is well built and I'm confident will provide us years of good use.

Haven't had a chance to use these yet. They are very solid. Have them stowed in the back of 2018 toyota highlander.

I recently installed a #76156 Draw-Tite Hitch on a 2016 Toyota Highlander. I used a multi-tool with a standard cutting blade to trim the splash guard and exhaust deflector. The vehicle had been Zei(xxxx) rustproofed, but, as I expected, uncoated areas were discovered when the splash guard and spare tire were removed. I treated the areas with a quality spray can undercoating before and after the hitch installation. I checked tyhe condition and pressure of the spare, and sanded some rust and sprayed a little black paint on the rim. I re-used the longer bolts for the tow hook to anchor the passenger side of the hitch, but did not cut the fascia. I sprayed all six holes and the bolts with lithium grease before installing the hitch. Here are the photos of the result. Hope this helps.

I bought the 1 7/8 and 2 inch combo so that switching between the two is as easy as pulling a pin. However, I didn't realize that I had to install the ball. I had to find someone with a wrench and torque wrench big enough to do it. Otherwise, excellent quality as usual from E-Trailer.

Easy to install and they feel really sturdy. Definitely recommend buying them with the carrying case as it makes them super convenient and easy to stow away when not in use.

I cannot use this ball mount because the shaft is too short that goes into hitch receiver on my one ton Dodge truck. It does not allow enough room between truck back bumper and ball to allow any trailer tongue to be put on ball.

Retail type stores only carry mainstream items so when I needed a special length ball mount for my 2011 Traverse I found the size and quality with Curt Products .

Yes Laura its a good thing. But I do dismount it when not in use lest I smash someones bumper when backing into a parking space. .

We sold our small motor home and purchased a small travel trailer. This hitch provided a perfect solution to how to use our bike rack while towing the trailer. It even allows room for the pickup tailgate to be lowered without removing the bikes from the rack. The hitch is very hefty with a high weight limit - plenty for the GVW of the trailer (7,000#) plus 125# of rack and bikes.

I seldom take the time to write a review but I felt compelled to share my excellent overall experience with etrailer.com. I ordered the C13200 trailer hitch receiver, 2" ball, 2" ball mount receiver, pin/clip, and C56217 wiring harness for my 2017 Toyota Highlander XLE. All arrived in no time and in excellent condition. The installation videos and PDF documents are outstanding. I installed the hitch receiver in roughly 45 minutes - includes time to convince brother in-law to come over to help hoist it into place. The hitch went on exactly as described in your YouTube video. I got it on in about 45 minutes without putting the Highlander on jackstands. I did it alone and found a scissor jack the perfect means to elevate and support the passenger's side while I attached the driver's side. It seems to go better by attaching one bolt on the driver's side then one on the other side. By the way, your video explains how the washers should go on. The written instructions accompanying the hitch did not. The wiring package did not follow the video OR the written instructions. Both state that the package contains double stick tape that should be used to connect the black box. There was no tape in the package or attached to the black box. I wedged the black box in an open in the body. I think it will be secure and the wire protected from rubbing. Otherwise, i will have to open the compartments up again and apply adhesive of my own. Your video suggested that the wires can be lead from the driver's side connectors to the equipment tray in the back. It can, but the wires are pinched between the plastic body part. Over time, I suspect wire sheath would rub away and ground the connection. I ground away a very small section of the equpment tray. It created enough space to relieve the pinching. By the way, I'm 66. I'm sure kids could install the hitch even faster than I did.
