Swagman XTC2 Bike Rack for 2 Bikes - 1-1/4" and 2" Hitches - Frame Mount
The assembly of the rack was straight forward and quick. I have used it once and had no problems. Loading the bikes was very easy compared to a roof rack. Overall I like the rack. After the installation, I bought a bolt lock to replace the standard hitch bolt. The bolt lock made the rack sway slightly during travel, but not a real concern. Being able to fold the wheel rails up when not using the rack to carry bikes is a nice feature. I am pleased with this purchase.
I am impressed with this company's professionalism. They kept me informed from start to finish with emails and tracking info. The product is just as advertised and expected.

Thule Passage Trunk Bike Rack for 2 Bikes - Hanging Style
Easy to follow instructions - easy assembly. Fits great on my Highlander and has fittings for many, many other cars. Holds bikes well - ample distance between car and bike so no scratching! No need for a hitch style carrier - this works great.
The Thule Passage Trunk Bike Rake for 2 bikes is a good product. I used it to transport my mountain e-bike. I choose this particular unit because it can handle the weight 2 of bikes (non-e-bikes) and the weight of my e-bike is equivalent to weight of 2 bikes. Note: Must readjust the straps after mounting the bike to the rake.

Swagman XC2 Bike Rack for 2 bikes - 1-1/4" and 2" Hitches - Frame Mount
This rack is mounted on our 2-inch hitch and feels very solid. Two regular adult bikes were easy to mount. The wheel loops tighten so you don't have to continually readjust if you put the bikes on in the same order. It does stick out from the vehicle and because it is low I am worried that someone will hit it in a parking lot. For now, I decided to take it off while not in use. We made our first trip today and went on the freeway no problem. Overall I am very satisfied.
Received the bike rack shipment today and did a partial assembly, following the easy to understand instructions. Plan on completing the installation on the vehicle tomorrow. We were concerned on possible missing parts as the package was badly damaged - see pics - but all were there and we are very satisfied. Suzanne L.

Swagman XTC4 Bike Rack for 4 Bikes - 2" Hitches - Frame Mount
Bought the Draw-Tite trailer hits together with the Swagman XTC4 4-bike rack. Bought based on reviews on e-trailer and other sites that this is a sturdy and good-working combination for carrying 4 bikes. * Delivery: Fast (<5 days) * Packaging: Package had holes, which is not unusual as the box with the hitch has a lot of empty spaces. Others had same issue, but nothing to worry about. The hitch cannot really break easily and the hardware is safely stored in the 2inch receiver. * Installation: Very nice video instructions on etrailer. Installation really can use two people, but it's fairly easy with two people. Had some problems with one of the nine screws to bite although I did a try run before mounting the hitch. Worked after some minutes of wiggling the hitch so that the screw got the correct angle to bite. * Usage: Installed the day of delivery and used it the next day. It's the first time I used a trailer hitch and for sure the first time I used to carry 4 bikes. Stopped looking in the rear-view mirror after 1 minutes seeing that it's barely moving at all. So with a limited use so far I can confirm other's reviews of this combination and I think it works great. Recommended.
What we like about it: Easy on-off for 3 bikes; adjustable; folds up when not needed; transports very securely. Lock built in to bike rack offers mental security as well. What we don't like: hard to get 4th bike on--have to be strategic about placement of bikes/directions they are pointing, to fit 2 adult & 2 kid bikes, one with stunt spikes. Also, when it's up you can't access cargo space at all, and when it's down, it's hard to access the cargo space b/c the bike rack gets in the way of opening/reaching into it. And when flipped up (not using), it still sticks out quite a bit, making it hard to park in tight spaces. it's not very difficult to remove it, but it's heavy. Finally, one of our adjustable "hooks" (the part that hooks over the middle of the bike to secure it) doesn't adjust easily--need 2 hands' strength to squeeze it hard enough to get it to move. It's been this way since we first got it. For these reasons, can't give it 5 stars--but we give it 4 b/c we think as we use it more we'll get the strategy down, and the convenience and security and clever design make it worth 4/5 stars. We've definitely done more family biking since we bought it and that was the goal.

Thule Passage 3 Bike Carrier - Trunk Mount
Easy to install and remove. A great product if you don't want to mess with a traditional rack that uses a trailer hitch. We have no hitch so works perfect on our Toyota Highlander.
Way too light duty for what is advertised. It seemed to be made out of 1/2 inch electrical conduit. I would never put three bikes on that rack. I only had two bikes on the rack. While on trip through Idaho the wind was so strong that one of the bikes partially blew off the rack. We traveled 1,800 miles and upon arriving home I actually sawed the bike rack up and threw it away so that no one else would use it and cause an accident. I've already found a different brand that is HEAVY DUTY and I will stick with that brand.

Yakima RidgeBack Bike Rack for 4 Bikes - 1-1/4" and 2" Hitches - Tilting
Check out my other review on the hidden hitch for a 2015 BMW 4 Series for the majority of the review, but this thing is great. Easy setup and install, does all the things it's supposed to do. Mounting and removing bikes is a snap with the included clips (big difference from some of the cheaper variants with nylon ratchet straps). Fits very snugly in my 2" receiver, and pretty solid on the highway and over bumpy roads.
This is a great bicycle rack that is well built. When I received the rack, the box was damaged from shipping and the lock keys were missing. I contacted the staff at etrailer and they were incredibly quick to provide a solution. Awesome customer service! Will gladly do business with etrailer again.

Curt Bike Rack for 5 Bikes - 2" Hitches - Tilting
The straps are junk and four of them tore within a week of using them. I also almost lost one bike because of the straps. If I could I would return this unit.
We used this bike rack for at least 2 RV trips. The third trip we took we lost one bike off of the rear most rack. Ended up having to replace this bike rack with one from another store. Would only recommend for local trips only.
# 8
Curt Bike Rack for 4 Bikes - 2" Hitches - Tilting
This rack has worked well for us. I fits the Curt hitch perfectly. It is easy to attach bicycles securely. We can get three adult bicycles on this hitch (see photo). There are sufficient means to protect against sway.
This Curt bike carrier is ideal for my front hitch that I recently installed on my 2005 GMC. I had to remove my front tag holder for clearance but it works perfectley. It can be easily removed and installed on the back hitch when I'm not towing my camper. This is a well built and solid bike carrier. It was delivered very timely and well packaged.

Hollywood Racks Destination Bike Rack for 4 Bikes - 2" Hitches - Frame Mount
Good solid no nonsense bike rack. I like it. Straps and ratchets are well made, bikes are secure. Metal frame has a rough powder coated finish, seems like it will be rust resistant. Money well spent, I feel like I got a good deal.
The Rack is very good and works well. I think that some of the directions do not highlight some of the order in assembly steps which resulted in partiallly taking it apart and bending one of the attachment screws which appeared to be very soft.
# 10
Yakima HangOut 2 Bike Rack - Trunk Mount - Adjustable Arms
Bought this for my 2019 Toyota Highlander. Installation was easy, especially after watching the etrailer video. I've had the rack for about a year and it's held up and worked well the dozen or so times I've used it. I have had zero issues even on very long road trips (NYC to Outer Banks, NC). Folds up nice and tight when not in use, which is great for storage. Would recommend.
Great exterior bike carrier. Easy to use and positioning on the car is good.
# 11
Swagman Chinook Bike Rack for 2 Bikes - 1-1/4" and 2" Hitches - Frame Mount
The ordering process was easy, lots of pictures. The package was delivered on time and the box was without any damage. The bike rack was really easy to put together. All metal construction, except for the contact point for the bike. Feels solid.
This performed great with the Curt class 3 hitch I also bought from you! Very stable, easy to move out of the way, load, unload, and isn't wobbly on the road at all. Easy to put together, too. Very glad I bought it.
# 12
Yakima FullSwing Bike Rack for 4 Bikes - 2" Hitches - Swing Away
Heavy duty rack, fit very nicely on my Highlander
Installation today was pretty straight forward. We had no problems. It may require two people to install the bike rack onto the hitch because it is pretty heavy. But, as a 41 yo woman I was able to attach the bike rack to the hitch by myself. We haven't used it yet to transport our bikes, but I imagine that will be seamless too.
# 13
Swagman Upright Bike Rack for 1 Bike - Roof Rack Crossbars - Frame Mount
Great "universal" rack for a lot less $ than other brands. With just minimal knowledge of nuts, bolts and spacers this rack can easily be attached to a slightly curved roof rack, like my toyta highlander.
Work as advertised. Easy to fit to a caf roof rack. I work buy again.

Now, this does have the option to tilt away with the bikes loaded and to do that, I'm actually gonna pull this other arm up just to give me easy access to the foot pedal here. I like that these two clamps operate independently of each other. So if we have to set them at the exact same height, we can because they're completely independent, they can go up, down, rotate 360 degrees and adjust to fit your bikes.

Fit Verified: RockyMounts BackStage Bike Rack for 2 Bikes on a 2018 Toyota Highlander
Speaker 1: Today on a 2018 Toyota Highlander, we're going to be doing a test fit on the Rocky Mount's Backstage two bike platform rack, part number RKY10002.One of the really cool features about this bike rack, it has two separate ways to give you access to your trunk. The first I'm gonna show you is one that's kind of uncommon with platform racks. It can swing away from your vehicle. We'll undo this bolt that is connected to our blue handle. Once we get that all the way undone, there's a blue pin we'll pull and we'll bring it this way. Once we get out to here, we're gonna tilt it back like this and then go all the way out.As you can see, you have clear and total access to your trunk.
Yakima Hitch Bike Racks Review - 2018 Toyota Highlander
Speaker 1: Today on our 2018 Toyota Highlander, we're going to be doing a test fit on the Yakima Four Timer four bike platform rack, part number Y02469. One of the really cool features about this bike rack is that right now we have it in a four bike configuration. However, if you just remove this nut and bolt, you can take off a two bike part of it, and minimize it to a two bike rack. That's going to cut down on the space added onto the back of your vehicle. And then just less to haul around if you only have two bikes.Like most platform racks, this one can tilt away from your vehicle while it's fully loaded. We'll pull this gray pin right here, on the other side, let it hang.
Rola Hitch Bike Racks Review - 2018 Toyota Highlander
Speaker 1: Today on our 2018 Toyota Highlander, we're going to be taking a look at the Rola Convoy three bike platform rack. And that's going to be part number 59308-3.As you can see, we do have a bike installed so let's take a closer look at some of these features. Now this is a modular style platform rack meaning that, if we so choose, with the tightening tools that are including with our bike rack, we could remove as many layers as we choose so we can convert it from a three to a two bike rack. Or even a one bike rack. If you wish to convert it to a four bike rack, you can purchase another addition .. I apologize for that ...
Rola Hitch Bike Racks Review - 2018 Toyota Highlander 59308-4
Speaker 1: Today on our 2018 Toyota Highlander, we're gonna be taking a look at the Rola Convoy Full Bike Platform Rack, and that's gonna be part number 59308-4. We do have a bike installed, so let's take a closer look and show off some of the features of this rack. Now this bike rack has a nice modular design to it. Now what that means, is that with the additional tools that we're gonna get with the bike rack, we can remove each layer as we so choose. So right now, we have it set up for four bikes, but if you only want to carry three bikes for the day, with ease you can't take off the fourth layer, take off that much weight from the back of your vehicle. You can move it to two, or even a one bike rack.If we look at these cradles, we're gonna see that the back of the front wheel cradle can pivot like so, and that's gonna help accommodate to a lot of different sized wheels you might have when hauling around bikes. If we look inside the frame, we're gonna see it can accommodate a lot of different sized tires as well.
Hollywood Racks Over-the-Top Trunk Bike Racks Review - 2018 toyota highlander
Speaker 1: Today on our 2018 Toyota Highlander we're gonna be doing a test fit of our Hollywood Racks over the top trunk mounted two bike rack. That's part number HRF2. As you can see, we have one bike loaded up already to show how bikes sit on the rack. We have two arms that are gonna support our bikes, and we have two cradles, one per arm. That's gonna give us two points of contact on our cross bar and one point of contact on our vertical bar here. That's gonna prevent the bikes from swaying, making contact with each other or our vehicle. To remove the bikes, we're going to pull off the soft rubber straps here that are going to prevent any sort of damage to our bike frame.
Inno Hitch Bike Racks Review - 2018 Toyota Highlander
Speaker 1: Today on our 2018 Toyota Highlander, we're going to be test fitting the Inno Aero Light Four Bike Rack for inch-1/4 and 2 inch hitches, and that's going to be part number INH640. As you can see, we do have a bike installed, so let's take a closer look and see some of the features. If we start from the outside and work our way in, we're going to see this integrated cable lock system that's going to come out from the base of our rack all the way out. You can wrap it around whatever bikes you might have installed. Then, it inserts into this little spot right here, just like that. You will get a set of keys with your bike rack, so when you want to unlock the cable you simply just slide this little tab up right here, and then you have the insert for your key, unlock your cable, and then you can unload your bikes. If we look at the cradles, we're going to see that they can pivot back and forth, and they can move up and down the rack like so. That's going to help out for any size bike you might have or the spacing you want between your bikes.
DIY 2018 Toyota Highlander Installation for the Kuat Sherpa 2.0 Bike Rack for 2 Bikes
Speaker 1: Today on our 2018 Toyota Highlander, we're going to be test fitting Kuat's Sherpa 2.0 2 Bike Platform Rack. Here we have our Kuat Bike Rack. It's a two bike platform rack so it will carry two bikes. We've got our first bike on here and it's mounted at two points, here in the front on your front tire which locks in and here at the back using a strap on your back tire. This is particularly nice if you have a carbon fiber bike because there is no point of frame contact. While your bike's installed there's an easy to reach handle located here so, you don't have to bend over too far, you can pull it and tilt your bike down.
What our customers are saying:
"Everyone that bought before me was right! I got my rack in time for my next days off and putting it together was fast too. And I'm a grandma!! Thank you for being fast and honest! You beat anyone in my town hands down!"
