This base plate keeps the front of your vehicle looking factory clean when you’re not towing. The hidden design means the brackets don’t stick past the front end, and the removable arms twist out easily to leave nothing protruding. When you pull them off, the included receiver covers plug into place to keep out dirt and debris for a tidy finish every time.
Connecting your tow bar couldn’t be simpler. Each arm slides into the receiver and locks in with a twist, then secures with a pull pin. When it’s time to disconnect, just pull the pin, rotate, and remove. It’s quick and consistent whether you’re hitching up at home or on the road, so you spend less time setting up and more time rolling.
The sturdy steel build bolts directly to the chassis with no welding required. Its reinforced design spreads towing force evenly across the frame to help prevent stress on suspension components. Powder coating protects against rust and corrosion, so it stays solid through years of trips and weather.
This kit pairs directly with Blue Ox tow bars for a secure fit. If you’re using Roadmaster or Demco tow bars, adapters (RM-031, RM-031-5, or DM9523041) are available separately for an easy match. Integrated mounting points make it simple to add an electrical connector plug bracket for a clean wiring setup that stays organized up front.
Everything bolts into place using the included mounting hardware—no welding needed. The base plate mounts securely to the chassis for a solid fit that’s ready for miles of towing. Specs come in at 24" between brackets and 17" bracket height, so you can plan your hookup and accessories around precise measurements with confidence.

Its been two years since installation of the Blue Ox Baseplate. Since then, Ive flat towed the CRV from NJ to FL and back three separate times with many other shorter trips in between. Paired with a Blue Ox Tow Bar, the system has worked flawlessly since installation.

Follow up. Ive put about 8000 miles on the setup and its been great. A 34 ton suburban pulls nicely behind my Dutch star, and they dont have a steering lock so its nice not to have to retrieve keys when stopping for the night. I have used the safety cable attachment a few times for straight line pulls with a small shackle when working as a rally racing volunteer, its been fine but I wouldnt side pull on it.

The plate is working Great! Quality component. It was very simple to install. Minimal drilling required, most bolts lined up with factory frame bolts. My Jeep is easy to flat tow behind our motorhome. Minimal hook up time. Glad to get rid of the tow dolly. Should have done this a few years earlier.
