Ball Mount and Ball Recommendations for Draw-Tite Class I Trailer Hitch on a 2011 Dodge Caliber
Updated 05/08/2017 | Published 05/05/2017 >
Question:
I wanted to know what would be the best ball mounting for my 2011 Dodge ram caliber car. The weight limit is 1500 lb. Pulling a trailer. I have already received the carrier and waiting for the hitch its 1 1/4. I would want to get one that would work the best and safest for my car. Thank loads for your help.

I checked to see which hitch you ordered for your 2011 Dodge Caliber and it was Draw-Tite hitch # 24769. For Class I trailer hitches like this you are supposed to use the ball mount recommended by the hitch manufacturer. In this case it is # 3591 and the hitch instructions indicate it should be used in the rise position only (with the ball platform on top). A hitch pin with clip is included.
If the trailer you will be towing takes a 1-7/8 inch ball you can use ball # 19256. And if it requires a 2 inch ball use # 19258.
