Features to know about

Keeps Your Trailer Level: Fixed 3-7/8" Rise

Getting the trailer level makes a big difference in how steady it tows. This drawbar gives you a 3-7/8" rise so your trailer stays balanced and tracks straight. It’s built for Class II hitches with a 1-1/4" x 1-1/4" receiver, keeping the setup simple and reliable every time you hook up.

Gives You Room to Work: 13-1/2" Long Shank

Sometimes you just need more space between your vehicle and the trailer tongue. The extended 13-1/2" length from the center of the hitch pin hole to the center of the ball hole gives you that extra clearance. It helps when you want a little more working room for turning or connecting accessories without crowding the coupler.

Built for Dependable Strength: 3,500 lbs GTW and 350 lbs Tongue Weight

This Class II drawbar is rated for 3,500 lbs gross towing weight and 350 lbs tongue weight, giving you solid capacity for small campers, boats, or utility trailers. The sturdy steel construction handles routine hauls with confidence, so you can tow knowing the mount is up to the job.

Stays Looking Good: Gloss Black Powder Coat Finish

Road grime and weather can take a toll on your hitch gear. The gloss black powder coat finish helps protect against corrosion and keeps the mount looking clean after repeated use. It’s a durable coating that stands up to regular towing and storage outside.

Simple, Straightforward Setup: Fixed Ball Mount Design

No moving parts or complicated adjustments—just slide it into your 1-1/4" receiver, secure it with a hitch pin or lock (sold separately), and go. With its fixed design and 3/4" ball hole diameter, it’s a no-fuss setup that stays steady mile after mile.

Great product and prompt shipping!

by:

Product works great! Mindy/etrailer fixed me right when UHaul could not or would not!

by:

The product arrived exactly as described. This is in fact my second order for this exact item.

by:

Well made product. Good fit. Wish they made the 1-1/4" in stainless.

by:

This is just what I Need for my honda gold wing trike. This is the only draw bar that I could find that clear the bumper. I now can pull my Bushtec trailer without the nose being low to the ground.

by:

Great shipping just what I need to get small trailer away from back of SUV

by:

Very well made product. Purchased to solve problem with other drawbars that were too short and the ball being too close to the bumper. Part was shipped and delivered promptly and on the date stated. I have purchased other items from Etrailer and have always been very happy with their service and products.

by:

even though the "trailer world" is new to me, the staff (primarily Sandy) was patient with me, extremely helpful, and got exactly what I needed faster than anticipated. All in all a positive experience...now if they could help me with backing up a trailer I'll be all set! Thanks again

by:

just what I needed, Price was right, Customer service lady was very helpful, shipping was really quick and efficient, Thank you Etrailer.com

by:

As always from etrailer.com, the item arrived quickly and the order was easy to track. The customer service provided can't be beat. I'm very satisfied with the quality of both the item and the customer service

by:

Called customer service to make my order as I was not 100% certain of exactly what parts I needed for my 2012 Subaru Outback. With just a few measurements I was directed to the right part and accessories to enable my car to tow my bass boat.

It was a great experience!

by:

Fits the Situation at right priceThe ball mount we needed was to match a situation where the hitch is too far forward on the vehicle. This is an extended ball mount, made in the USA, that has higher quality steel and a solid Class II rating. It is also reasonably priced.
It will give us confidence on our 1400 mile round trip vacation this summer.

by:

Product is exactly as advertised. The added length is a great help when hooking up a trailer to the back of a Kubota RTV900. The hitch showed up in 3 days after ordering. I will order again from etrailer Good Job

by:

Etrailer comes through with the goods... again. The right product for the application I bought it for. Quality product and it looks great, with sufficient bumper clearance on a Subaru Outback with a Hidden Hitch. No hesitation in recommending Etrailer to anyone.

by:

Great product, great price, great customer service. I needed a special heavy duty receiver with a 4" rise and E-trailer had it in stock. They shipped it fast. I am pulling a couple of Seadoos with this and do want to lose them! Very good quality and I recommend doing business with these guys.

by:

Shipping took 2 weeks products are good

Works well to extend tung length and makes backup easier good for short light trailer

by:

Service from e-trailer was exceptional. We ordered a hitch and several other items for another application including a drawbar. E-trailer contacted us immediately to inform us that the drawbar would not fit with this hitch. The drawbar was for a totally different trailer application; however, kudos to e-trailer for checking each order so thoroughly. Exceptional customer service. Order was delivered within 3 days. Hitch is of good quality. Will install this weekend.

by:

All dimensional information looks like it will separate the trailer from the tow vehicle so that the clam door can be opened without interference with the trailer jack. Fits well into the receiver and I was able to transfer the ball from my accident damaged tow bar. Price is acceptable.

by:

haven't towed with it yet (hence only 4 stars) but customer service was outstanding, hitch, drawbar and ball all shipped SUPER fast. Install was relatively easy but did take a good bit longer than advertised due to instructions failing to mention the muffler mounting bracket was welded to the muffler AND riveted to the exhaust shroud. Materials appear super solid with well-made welds...........again, can't give it 5 stars till I see how it tows but service and material construction were top notch.

by:

Very nice form, fit and finish. Since I could not find the exact length I was looking for I ordered this long version and drilled out a new pin hole at the right spot. I expect this will long outlast the car.

Still happy.

by:

Arrived earlier than promised, fits and functions as it should. A little disappointed in the finish. The powder coating was already flaking off in the package and some rust starting. It's going to get beat up anyway in use, but still. My old crome plated one did not have this issue.

by:

2013 Goldwing Motortrike receiver hitch to Bushtec trailer. etrailer was the only company that I could find that had the hitch in the right dimensions that I needed: Length of at least 12 ", and rise of at least 3.5 ". My order was processed and shipped faster than anything I have ever ordered over the Internet. I am extremely pleased with the price and service. I recommend etrailer to anyone needing hitch equipment.

by:

@Dennis Glad we had the right ball mount for your Trike Dennis! What is the longest ride you have taken your Trike on?

by:

It's good that Curt makes this extra long ball mount, because I don't want to use an extension, and my receiver hitch is totally ahead of the rear bumper.

  • Recommendations For Outfitting A 2008 Subaru Forester To Tow A Trailer
Though the size of the ball and amount of rise or drop for the ball mount will be determined by the size of the trailer coupler and how high it is off the ground, I can definitely make a few suggestions for you. To start with, the Curt # C12038 will be the hitch I recommend. You will need to double check your owner's manual to verify the vehicle capacities, but this will be rated up to 3,500 pounds towing and 350 pounds of tongue weight. Once installed, the top of the receiver opening...

  • Parts Needed to Tow Boat Trailer with 2005 Chevy Impala
We have everything need to get your 2005 Chevy Impala set up for towing a small boat trailer. Starting with the trailer hitch, the Draw-Tite Class 2 Trailer Hitch Receiver # 36407 that you referenced is confirmed to fit your vehicle and is what I recommend going with. The Class II hitch gives you a strong unit and will make it easy to find compatible accessories down the line (such as bike racks and cargo carriers) if you ever decide to use the hitch in that manner, since it has the...

  • Long Ball Mount for Class II Trailer Hitch Receiver on a 2006 Jeep Grand Cherokee
The longest ball mount we carry to fit a Class II, 1-1/4 inch hitch receiver is the Curt # C45000. It's 13-1/2 inches from the hitch pin hole to the ball hole. However, it only provides 3-7/8 inches of rise and cannot be used in the drop position. Much less than the Brophy # BM96 you have. It does have the same 3/4 inch ball hole diameter as the Brophy. Another option that may work is the Curt # C45015 that's 11-5/8 inches long. It can't be used in the drop position either but does...

This ball mount has a distance of 13-1/2 inches from center of hitch pin hole to center of ball hole. We also have a trailer hitch extender for a 1-1/4 inch trailer hitch. It is the Brophy Hitch Extender, part # hes6. This extends the hitch 6-inches from center-to-center of the hitch pin holes.
