Question:
Have small SUV with 1.25inch trailer hitch receiver and compatible 1.875inch ball mount. Does not extend far enough to clear electronic tailgate from front rails on small boat trailer. Need tube extension for receiver? Not sure what else will work. Suggestions? Products? Dont want to convert 1.25inch to 2inch since would then create alignment issues and require buying new mount. Thanks

If a longer drawbar is needed on your vehicle with the 1-1/4 inch receiver you may be able to use part # C45000. This ball mount has a distance of 13-1/2 inches from center of hitch pin hole to center of ball hole.
We also have a trailer hitch extender for a 1-1/4 inch trailer hitch. It is the Brophy Hitch Extender, part # hes6. This extends the hitch 6-inches from center-to-center of the hitch pin holes.
You should note that using an extender in the trailer hitch will reduce the overall hitch capacity by 50 percent.
