Ellen: Hey everyone, I'm Ellen here at etrailer.com. Today we're taking a look at the Taylor Made Buoy Rod. Now this is designed to be used with a mooring buoy to help you secure your boat when you're out in the water. So one end will be attached to your anchor going out to the waters or to the bottom of the water. And then the other side we'll be going up to the top so you can actually anchor off to it. It does have this swivel hook or swiveling part portion, so we can get attached to it.
And we'll have two washers there and then our large eyelet at the bottom. It also has a jam nut to keep that in place there and a nylon lock nut up at the top so we don't have to worry about that coming unthreaded. Now this is made of a hot dipped galvanized material, so it should be able to withstand being in the water all the time.As far as our dimensions here, it's going to be 15 inches from the bottom of that swivel to the end of the rod, turn it to the sides and get a little better idea, so that's going to be 15 inches going from here to here. Our total length from top to bottom is 22 and a half inches. The swivel portion up top is four inches long.
Our eyelet at the bottom is about three and three quarters on the outside or about two and three quarters on the inside there. The rod has a diameter of about three eighths of an inch, and those washers are about two and a half inches wide. This is made in the USA and that's going to do it for our look at the Taylor Made Buoy Rod. If you need any other accessories for your boat, you can always find those right here at etrailer.com.
