Hello, neighbors, Steve here with the etrailer.com. Today, we're looking at our Taylor Made mooring buoy rod, in it's a galvanized finish. Now, when this is installed with your buoy, it should look something kind of like that. You may have a different color of buoy, obviously. Now, the buoy rod extends through the center of your mooring buoy so you can secure your boat in open water. It also provides a nice connection point for the mooring chains and the permanent line.
So you got that islet and the other end. Again, everything's been galvanized here to prevent the corrosion and rusting and everything. It's got a nice 4-inch long swivel that will turn on the bottom of the rod and that'll prevent the mooring chain from twisting and everything. And it's got the washers and the lock nut to secure the buoy to the rod. It is made here in the USA.
The overall length is 18 inches on the rod, it's a half inch thick. And the swivel dimensions, it's a 4-inch long swivel, 2 1/2 inches wide. Now folks, that will wrap it up for our look at this Taylor Made mooring buoy rod. I'm Steven, thanks so much for looking with me and have a great day.

fantastic service and event
Having not yet used this product in salt water, I can't provide an accurate review of its quality. It certainly looks like it can function adequately. We'll see.
It would really help if instructions for how this item is to be used in a Taylor buoy would be helpful. You obviously assume the buyer already knows. Not so!
You do an excellent job.
Exactly what I needed to go with my buo y.
seems like good quality

I purchased a buoy rod. After 3 months in salt water, it was so rusted that it couldnt be used for another season. Quality of galvanization was obviously lousy.
