Ellen: Hey everybody. I'm Ellen here at etrailer.com and we're taking a quick look at this cord reel. This helps to make sure that your extension cords or anything else that you might be running is going to stay up and out of the way when you're not using it so you're not tripping all over the place, it doesn't get tangled up, and also by keeping your cords wrapped up on a reel like this, it helps to keep them lasting longer. Whenever you have kind of tangled up cords or big kinks and stuff, it can end up damaging the connection in between or in that cord itself, damages the metal. So having it wrapped up nice and neat can help to keep those cords lasting longer. Also, it just makes it easier to run them out again.

You can use this for extension cords, for Christmas lights, for just about anything that you'd want to put on here. And it's pretty easy to use, pretty self-explanatory. It does work for different sizes. It measures about 11 inches in outer diameter.There's a little hook on the inside for you to put the end of the cord. So that's going to keep that in place and then you can just wrap it up.

You've got a little handle in the middle. There's some indentions for your fingers to give you a nice firm grip, and you can use that both left-handed or right handed, whichever you want, so it is ambidextrous to wrap that up. All in all, pretty simple little tool, handy to have around the house, around the shop, got a couple of spots where you can hang this on a wall to keep it out of the way. If you want to use this for a 16 gauge wire, you can house about 150 feet of that. Or if you have a 12 gauge cord, it'll hold about 100 feet.
