How It Works

Hose Channel

This hose caddy makes it easy to carry and store your hose when you're on the road, and it makes it fast and convenient to hook up once you get to the campsite. Simply thread your hose through the clips on the bottom of the basket to secure the hose to the caddy. Coil the rest of the hose on top, inside of the basket. When it comes time to use the hose, simply pull enough of it out through the channel of clips so that you can connect the end of the hose to your RV. The clips will keep the weight of the basket up and off of the ground so that it can clear the hose, preventing it from being compressed or getting kinked. Once you're hooked up to the RV, just pull out the other end of the hose from the top of the caddy, and the hose will easily uncoil without moving or tipping the basket. Coil it all back up into the basket at the end of your trip, and easily stow the hose and caddy for travel.

didnt use this for power cord or fresh hose but rather for Viper sewer hose. Fits perfectly through basement storage compartment door near discharge valves and put extra fittings in center hub. Little pricey but with all "stuff" in one washable container, it works well for me

Bought for water hose it’s perfect. Tried my 50amp cord it works with it also. That cord can be a problem. This makes it easy to store so I bought another.

Great purchase. Much better connection than the original and no hassle on threading a connection.

This a great addition for hose and plumbing parts I will probably get one for my trailers power cord

I bought two of these about a year ago to help me manage my two 50A shore power cords. Those thick cords are heavy and unwieldy and they can get really dirty as you pull them over the ground to coil them. They're even harder to manage when the temps get low and the cords get stiff.

I'm so glad I bought these. They're perfect for my two cords.

I got these before a big trip last year (19 states, one big Canadian province, and 10,700 miles). Aside from that one trip, we've probably spent another fifty nights and a couple thousand more miles on the road since then, so these baskets have seen a lot of action.

Thoughts? Well, I guess I should start by saying that these have shown zero signs of wear and tear so far, which is fantastic. Even if they completely wore out though, I would replace them without thinking twice. They're too valuable.

So here's my situation. We typically boondock 60-75% of the time and tend to stay within a few hundred miles of home. When we're boondocking, I don't need the shore power cords and they're actually just in the way. So these baskets make it very simple to just unload them from the RV and put them in the garage at home before the trip. This wouldn't be so simple without the baskets.

When we're on the road and staying someplace with hookups, there are a couple of wants/needs/preferences where my shore power cords are involved. First, you may have noticed I keep saying "cords" (plural). I have a main 50A cord as well as an extension, because our fifth wheel is 45 feet long and the power connection is at the far rear corner of the rig. It's not uncommon at all to pull up to a camp where the pedestal is too far to reach with the main cable, so I need an extension to reach so we won't have to pull the 5er into a weird location just to reach the pedestal. Two long 50A cords present some inconveniences.

Having two shore power cords can really fill up a cargo compartment, so I just set these inside the rear door and unload one or two once we park and I'm ready to set up. If I need both, then I take both outside. If I just need one, then I leave the second one slid under the couch where it's out of the way.

This is super convenient.

To actually set up, I just set the main basket on the ground right beside the shore power connection and uncoil however much line I need to reach the pedestal. If it's only a few feet away, then I just uncoil that much and then pull the other end out of the center of the basket and connect it to the RV. The rest of the cord remains in the basket out of the way and not getting dirty. I repeat this with the second basket if I need more length than that.

The diameter of these baskets is great for these heavy cords. You kind of have to "train" the cord to fit into the basket at first, but that's just a one-time ordeal.

The center of the baskets has a small (5"?) pot where I can keep other things. That's where I put the plastic guard that goes over the male end of the cord to keep the prongs from bending. It's also a good nest where I can lay my big surge protector so I don't need to make an extra trip to find it in storage.

Using these baskets for shore power cord management checks a lot of boxes for me:

* Storing the cords is infinitely tidier than just coiling them up.
* Moving the cords from point A to point B is easier. Whether I'm moving them from the RV to the garage or bringing them outside at camp to set up, it's a lot easier to carry one of these baskets with two hands.
* Setting up camp and breaking down is infinitely faster than before.
* My cords stay a lot cleaner since I'm not just dragging them through the dirt.
* I don't have to worry about bending the male plugs because there's no more dragging.

I should probably explain how I coil mine up with these baskets. First I disconnect the female end from the RV and tuck it neatly in the basket. Then I bring the male end from the pedestal and lay it at nine o'clock from my feet so that the length is kind of bent in half (picture a long letter U extruded from the pedestal towards the basket). And then I pick up the basket and give it a turn, set it down, pick it back up and turn it, and repeat that a few times until it's about halfway coiled. And then I pick up the now short male end and quickly coil that into the basket and I'm done. It took longer to type that than to do it. If the ground is especially yucky, then maybe I'll move the basket down the line as I rotate it so that the cord doesn't drag at all.

These baskets don't look like much, but I swear they're really convenient and I wouldn't want to have to do without them. I think back to the days when I had to fight with the huge coiled cord laid out across everything in the cargo hold and it makes me kind of mad that I didn't find something like this sooner.

Works great and keeps hoses in place!

This hose caddy solved my storage problem for my water hoses. I bought two of them and I'm really pleased with them.

They work excellent as I have a fifth wheel trailer that I have a storage Bay in the front side and I stacked the hoses in there and theyre a lot more organized and take up way less space so I can get more items in my trailer. Very pleased with that product and now Im looking for a storage container or something for a 1-inch diameter hose that Im going to use for flushing or draining out my gray and black tanks with one of those pump units that you hook to a 3-inch line instead of using a 3 inch hose so Ill be back checked in with you guys here in a few weeks or so. Keep up the good work with your products and thank you for everything.

Have yet to utilize these hose containers in my rv but they appear to be exactly what I expected. I got 2 of them and one will be for drinking water hoses while the other will be for 50' thirty amp extension and other electrical items. Headed out on a 3000 mile trip in a couple of weeks and I believe the organization aspect alone will be worth every penny that I paid. Great price and fast delivery.

A simple but nice addition to my RVing kit. I originally bought it for my 30 AMP 25 ft. power cord but realized this was a bit wider than the place I was planning on storing it in my Class B camper van. So instead I plan to use it to store 50 feet of fresh water hose at my house where I'm setting up a "Boondockers Welcome" parking site.

These are great for power cords and hoses. Stackable making storage area more efficiently used.

I use it for my 50amp, 35ft rv power cord and it has withstood many iterations of loading and unloading. They work great with garden hoses too.

Great product (although expected it to be a bit larger)
Most expedient merchandise delivery bar none !

Organizes corded the best way possible

Great product to keep hoses and cords organized. We have had other campers ask where we purchased it, so they could get one. Great for storage and to keep excess hose tidy while hooked up at campsights.

Works well, I have my 50 Amp power cord in one and another for my water hoses. Keeps everything organized in my storage compartment.

Very good product. I expect them to be very handy storing my RV water hoses and another one for electrical cords. It should keep them very neat and organized. I’m very pleased with etrailer’s packaging. It came with 0 defects.

Keeps your fresh water hose tidy and great for storage also

No problems with the water filter and have to say the people at the company were very nice and helpful. Have to say I feel that $160 for the one year inspection and filter change was a little pricey. But in all a good company.

Love this product, I have two of them. One for drinking water and the other for grey
water. Note; drain water out before storage.

Great organization piece.

I have struggled with my RV hose for years. This item works great!
Exceptional packing of my items (as usual) by Etrailer.

This is a handy tool for stowing your potable water hose during travel and for keeping your campsite tidy when you're parked.

This basket is great, nice to be able to contain the hose and power cord...
