Video Transcript for Review of MORryde Replacement 30 Rubber Shear Spring - MR73UR

Hello, neighbors. Steve here with etrailer.com. Today, we're looking at a replacement number 30 rubber shear spring for your MORryde trailer and RV suspension systems. So folks, this does replace one, quantity one, of a number 30 rubber shear spring for those MORryde suspension systems. The number 30 is embossed into the rubber on the side of the spring. It's kind of hard to see here in the image, so I do apologize for that.

But rest assured, this is a number 30, and that's how you would match up a replacement. You should see some numbers either ending with 30 or with 30 embossed on it. This particular one, I can see when I look close enough at the red light ND30. So just keep in mind, it's kinda hard to see with the black rubber, the black spring, my black shirt. Even if I step outta the way, it's kind of hard to see.

So, I apologize for that. But again, simple replacement part direct from the manufacturer. Let's get some quick dimensions on this guy. Overall, on the top plate, we are sitting right at 10 1/4 inches long by 6 3/4 inches wide or tall, however you have it orientated. As far as those nine holes, center to center on those is right at nine inches exactly.

And as far as up and down center to center on those holes, I was getting right at three inches. Now, this mid length where they kind of bolt together, that is a different length. It's a little bit longer. Overall on that, I was getting right at 11 1/4 inches long, but I was getting that same 6 3/4 inches tall. So again, folks, a very simple replacement shear spring by MORryde, made especially for the number 30 rubber shear spring.

I'm Steven. Thanks for watching, folks. Stay safe out there.

  • Is It Safe To Travel With Worn Shear Spring On A MORryde Suspension System
Hey Paul, You most likely could still pull the trailer if you really needed to even though the shear spring # MR35UR needs to be replaced, I just would make it a short trip and get it swapped out. A bad shear spring can lead to a rough ride quality and allow for more sway. At that length there's a greater chance for sway as it is. The shear spring cushions the suspension so without it the other components will start to wear faster as well. There should be a number embossed into the...
