Hello everybody, this is Jeff at etrailer.com. Today I'm gonna take a look at this DeeMaxx Stainless Steel Disc Brake Caliper for 7,000 pound to 8,000 pound axles. Now this is a single piston caliper. It is constructed of stainless steel for superior durability and corrosion resistance for freshwater saltwater use. It is a floating design so it does ensure smoother braking with less wear and potential leaks. And we mentioned it's a large single piston.
I did wanna flip it up and just show you where the piston is. That's right in here. This large single piston is also stainless steel, provides absolute rust protection, and it also minimizes sticking by maintaining integrity of the piston. The brake pads that are used that come with this are ceramic brake pads. They'll provide superior performance for more consistent braking.
They withstand high temperatures for maximum wear. And if you notice on each end of these pads, they are chamfered and then they have a slot right in the middle. And that design is to help prevent squealing. They do offer laser etched instructions. If you look right here, you can see on the piston side there's laser etched instructions which will take the guesswork out of installing and bleeding the brakes.
If you notice they have two bleeder screws here and they do include these caps or covers and this will cover those bleeder screws to ensure that there's no contaminants getting into your brake system. Does include the stainless steel caliber bolts for installation. And again, the axles this one is designed for is 7,000 pound to 8,000 pound axles. But that should do it for the review on the DeeMaxx stainless steel disc brake caliper for 7,000 pound to 8,000 pound axles.
