Question:
Good evening, I am looking for a hub assembly set for my Big Max 5x8 utility trailer. The tire size is 5.30-12 and there is number on the back of hub which reads 8-258. Does any of this help determine which hub assembly I would need? Thank you!

Hi Bryce; that information narrows it down but there are still two possible hub replacements with different bearings. The # 8-258-5UC1-EZ has # L44649 inner and outer bearings with a 5 on 4-1/2 bolt pattern. The # 8-258BTUC1 has # L44643 inner and outer bearings with a 5 on 4-1/2 bolt pattern. You will need to either pull your hubs and check your bearings to see what you have, or use the serial number off the axle tag to identify it. If you have a 4 on 4 bolt patter you can use # 8-91-05UC1-EZ for # L44649 bearings or # AKIHUB-440-2-1K
