Recommended Trailer Hitch for a 2024 Ford Mustang Mach-E

Question:
Hello, First, thank you so much for your previous helpful advice! I have a follow up question about the Stealth EcoHitch EH66SR, which were considering for our 2024 Ford Mustang Mach-e. Wed use it to carry a bike rack with two regular non-electric bikes, weighing a total of ~120 pounds, including the rack. We dont plan on towing anything. For comparison, we also wanted to ask about the Hidden Hitch by Draw-Tite Part Number: DT72GR, which also would fit our Mustang Mach-e. On the Draw-Tite pictures your website, I can see that we could remove the receiver, when not using the hitch. Is that easy to do? Also, can one similarly remove the receiver on the Stealth EcoHitch? I cant tell from the photos. Basically: are there any key differences between these two hitches, for our intended use carrying bikes? And with both hitches, is it easy to remove the receiver, if we wish to do so? Thank you!

Hey Jean, great questions! So the only real key differences between the Draw-Tite # DT72GR and the EcoHitch Hidden Trailer Hitch Receiver # EH66SR is that the EcoHitch is rated a bit higher for the tongue weight, and the Draw-Tite has a removable receiver where the EcoHitch does not.
Other than that, they both are practically the same. They both have the same weight capacities, both have bolt on installs, and both include all the hardware.
If it were me, I'd go with the Draw-Tite hitch just because I can remove the receiver when not in use. You don't really need the extra tongue weight since your bikes plus the rack aren't even close to either capacities.
If you need help with something else, please feel free to drop a comment and let me know!

Hey Jean, how did things go with the hitch choice for your Mustang Mach‑E? Did the removable receiver on the Draw‑Tite end up being as easy to use as you hoped? Your feedback could really help others comparing these two options.
