Orange/Red Wire and Blue Wire Functions on 1996 Chevy C/K Series Truck

What does the orange or red wire with the blue wire on my 1996 chevy truck do? Where does it hook up at on my seven pole trailer plug

It sounds like you are talking about the tow package wires under your 1996 Chevy pickup. The orange or red wire is for 12 volt power to the 7-Way trailer connector. It powers 12 volt accessories on the trailer and/or provides a maintenance charge to a trailer battery. It connects to the back of the truck 7-Way at the 11 oclock position.
The blue wire is output for electric trailer brakes. It connects to the back of the truck 7-Way in the 7 oclock position.
