Can 2024 Toyota Grand Highlander Use Weight Distribution
Question:
Im looking at a 2024 Toyota Grand Highlander Hybrid XLE. Ive seen mixed reviews on people using a Weight Distributing Hitch. Does the Grand Highlander us a different 2-piece unibody frame than other highlander models? I have seen people use a WD hitch on other Highlanders and Siennas. thanks!

Hey Bryce,
You can use weight distribution on a 2024 Toyota Grand Highlander so long as the hitch is rated for use with weight distribution, so the frame isn't an issue. For the '24 Grand Highlander you would be able to use weight distribution with only one hitch that fits, the Draw-Tite Max-Frame Trailer Hitch Receiver # DT95PR.
The other hitch that fits, the Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver # C26VV is not rated for use with weight distribution, but you could still add sway control by using the Curt Friction Sway Control # 17200 and a ball mount with a sway control tab like the Curt Ball Mount w/ Sway Control Tab for 2" Hitches # D320.
