Question:
Can I use my existing weight distribution hitch with this item?
asked by: George B
Expert Reply:
Yes. You can use your existing weight distribution hitch with the Gen-Y Torsion 2 Ball Mount # 325-GH-1324 without any additional components, but it is not the optimal setup. Gen-Y recommends that you use the Gen-Y Torsion Weight Distribution Shank - 2" Hitches - 6-1/2" Drop/Rise - 1,700 lbs TW # 325-GH-1202 as a replacement for your current weight distribution shank in order to use the Gen-Y Torsion 2 Ball Mount # 325-GH-1324 with your current weight distribution hitch.
This weight distribution shank has a tongue weight range of 1200 to 1700-lbs and a gross towing weight capacity of 16000-lbs.
