Parts Needed to Install a 7-way on a 2014 Honda Odyssey to Use a Pop-Up Trailer with Brakes
Question:
Hi. I have a 2014 Honda Odyssey. I need to hook it up to a small popup that has electric trailer brakes and a 7-pin connector. Can you please advise me? All the harnesses in your video were 4-pin flat, which my understanding is do not have a conductor for the trailer brakes. Thanks.

You are correct that the 4-pin flat options will not work with the 7-way and trailer brakes. But you do still need a 4-way to start. That is because the 4-way will be used and adapted into a 7-way, giving you the functions needed for the trailer brakes and controller.
The T-One Vehicle Wiring Harness # 118521 is confirmed to fit your 2014 Honda Odyssey and will provide the 4-way needed. You will then adapt the 4-way into a 7-way using the Universal Installation Kit for Trailer Brake Controller # ETBC7. I recommend picking up the No-Drill Bracket # C57202 to provide a point for mounting the 7-way into the 7-way bracket included in the # ETBC7.
You will then need a brake controller to use the brakes on your popup trailer.

This brake controller contains what you need to get it hooked up and provides a sleek, factory like look when done with the installation.
