Because the 2014 Chevy Malibu uses a Class II hitch like the Curt # C12115 that has a 1-1/4 inch receiver opening, it wouldn't be a good vehicle to carry a mobility scooter with, unless you can find one that's compatible with a 1-1/4 inch hitch. Unfortunately, all the scooter carriers we offer are only compatible with a 2 inch receiver.
The best solution I could offer would be a small trailer like # K2MMT4X6. To equip your Malibu for towing, in addition to the hitch you'll also need a trailer wiring harness like # C56176 for all models EXCEPT for the LTZ. You'll also need a # C45017 ball mount, a # PC2 hitch pin and # 19256 for a 1-7/8 or # 19258 for a 2-inch trailer ball.
