Question:
Very confused by the normally open NC question. When I disconnected the power to my switch it retracted the step. My switch has been bad for a long time and step stays out. I was surprised to see when I broke the circuit my step retracted in under camper. Does this mean I have a NO or NC ? Help

The "normal" part of the normally open or normally closed wording in the switch descriptions has to do with which condition the circuit needs to be in for the step to close. Since when you opened the circuit the step finally retracted that means the switch setup you have is normally closed. So for a replacement switch you'd need the # LC379400.
