The Lippert Components Kwikee Pleated Plunger Door Switch # LC379407 is a normally open switch. If you're in need of a normally closed switch, you can use the Lippert Components Kwikee 3/4" Core Round Magnetic Door Switch part # LC379400. The closed position in this switch is when the plunger is depressed.

Item # LC379388 I'm looking for a Replacement Plunger Door Sensor with Striker Plates for Kwikee Electric RV Steps that when you close the door the steps come up. Will this Item work. I know there is normal close and normal open. I guess the normal closed the steps will come up

The Replacement Plunger Door Sensor with Striker Plates # LC379407 is for normally opened wiring. If yours is normally closed then you'll want to go with something like the magnetic sensor # LC379400 instead.
