What is the Hub Pilot Size and Grease Flange Size of the 84655UC1
Question:
Need to know what the pilot size of the hub is where the center of the wheel fits over the hub at the wheel mounting flange. Someone else asked a similar question and the reply said it was 3.09” and the dimension was supported with a picture showing the dimension of the flange where the grease cap mounts. However this is a tapered hub and the critical diameter is at the wheel flange. Maybe the dimension at the wheel flange is 3.09” and the arrow on the picture is not drawn correctly. Could you please clarify if the 3.09 is at the grease cap flange or at the wheel flange. Thanks

Expert Reply:
The grease cap flange diameter of the Trailer Idler Hub Assembly # 84655UC1 is going to be 1.986" and the outer diameter will be 3.09". The picture you're referring to does show the outside hub pilot diameter on this hub and not the grease cap flange diameter, but it might be confusing since the inside edge and outside edge of the hub kind of blend together because of the shading on the photo.
