Question:
I realize the bolts should be strong enough... but would it be better to weld this bracket for a 3500 lbs V nose trailer .. do the holes weaken the frame? tube frame thanks

The Chain Hangers for Curt Weight Distribution Systems part # C17005 can be welded to the trailer frame if that is the method you prefer over drilling. That said, most customers do not have the means of welding so drilling is easier. In regards to weakening the frame, this should not be an issue for either method of instillation but if you are capable I would recommend welding. If you do decide to drill holes, just be sure to leave the bolts in the frame even if you remove the bracket.
