The connections you will need to make to install your Voyager brake controller are listed below. If your Voyager has a connector attached to the wires at the back you can use the Pigtail Wiring Harness, # 7894, to connect to the wires on the connector supplied by GM that is similar to the # 3015-S connector we carry. If you wanted a complete harness without splicing you could use the plug-in wiring adapter, # 3015-P. I have added a photo of the connector for the 2005 Chevrolet Silverado with the wiring labeled also.
Dk Blue - Trailer Brake Controller Switched Output - To blue output wire from brake controller
Red - Fused Trailer Brake Controller Battery Feed - To black wire from brake controller.
Blk - Brake Controller Ground - To white wire from brake controller.
Lt Blu - Vehicle Stop Lamp Switch to Brake Controller Input - To red wire from brake controller.
BRN - Brake Controller Illumination - Not used.
I have added a video, see link, showing a brake controller installation on a 2005 Chevrolet Silverado. We also have an FAQ article detailing brake controller installation of the 1999-2006 Chevrolet trucks.
