Question:
do all 2018 grand Cherokees have the rear plug in the bumper for wiring the trailer?

I do not believe all 2018 Jeep Grand Cherokees came with a factory trailer connector. In order to add one you will want to first look under the vehicle's rear bumper near the spare tire for a USCAR car plug which I have attached a photo of for you. The plug may be taped to an existing wiring harness. If you have this plug then you can use part # C55384 to add a 4-way trailer connector or part # C55774 to add a 4 and 7-way trailer connector. I have attached install videos of both harnesses for you which shows what the plug looks like and where to look.
If you do not have the USCAR plug then in order to add a 4-way trailer connector you will want to use the T-One Vehicle Wiring Harness part # 118727 which like the other two harnesses is also a plug and play option. However, in order to add a 7-way trailer connector to a vehicle without the USCAR plug you will still need the above 4-way but you will also need the Universal 7-Way Install Kit part # ETBC7 which will require hardwiring.
If your trailer has brakes and you need a brake controller then I recommend the Tekonsha Prodigy P3 Trailer Brake Controller part # 90195 as this is one of our best selling brake controllers because it has integrated safeguard to protect both the vehicle/trailer and it runs continuous diagnostic checks for safety. If you have the USCAR plug then you can use the Tekonsha Plug-In Wiring Adapter for Electric Brake Controllers part # TK93VR to install the controller but if not you will need to hardwire it.
Please keep in mind that if you do have the USCAR plug it may also be necessary to see a local Jeep dealer to activate the tow package wiring circuit.
