Location of the Brake Controller Port on a 2008 Dodge Ram
Question:
In the picture shown, white connecter instead of blue, on my truck there is already something plugged into it. Not sure what it is or where it goes, I havent dug that deep yet. Do I need to unplug that to connect my controller to it and then run the blue wire?

The connector you have attached a photo of is not used for the Tekonsha Plug-In Wiring Adapter for Electric Brake Controllers part # 3020-P. The correct one for you will be blue with a rectualgar base (see photo). You will need to keep searching until you find it. It may be taped to other wires in the harness as well.
Please note that adapter port will only be present on your 2008 Dodge Ram if it came with a factory trailer connector. If the vehicle did not come with either a 4 or 7-way trailer connector from the factory then there will not be a plug present and you will need to hardwire the controller.
