Big trailers and heavy bed loads can make the rear of a truck sag, throwing off steering, braking, and headlight aim. The Firestone Ride-Rite Red Label Extreme Duty Air Helper Springs add up to 7,500 lbs of rear-axle load-leveling capacity so your ride stays level and steady. Installed between the frame and suspension, these air springs share the weight with your leaf springs to keep even load distribution and reduce strain when towing or hauling your heaviest gear.
Every job and trailer is different. These air springs adjust from 5 psi up to 150 psi so you can fine-tune support for towing, hauling, or daily driving. Add air to firm things up when loaded or drop the pressure down for a smoother ride when empty. You can inflate each side separately with manual inflation valves to balance off-center loads and keep your truck tracking straight.

The RED Label design is Firestone’s toughest Ride-Rite line. Each spring has four layers of reinforced rubber and a braided wire girdle with a double-convoluted shape built for durability under high pressure. Corrosion-resistant metal end plates are locked in place with a rolled crimp seal that prevents leaks and keeps the bag securely anchored through years of use.

By keeping the rear suspension from bottoming out, these heavy-duty air bags smooth out bumps and road shock. That means better steering control, more even tire wear, and level headlight aim even on steep grades or uneven pavement. The added stability helps reduce sway and bounce so the truck feels planted when towing long distances or carrying tall loads.
Each kit includes vehicle-specific brackets, hardware, air lines, and separate valves for manual inflation. The no-drill installation mounts directly to factory points on the frame and axle using the supplied fasteners. Just hook up your air lines where you want easy access for filling and you’re ready to go—no extra parts needed unless you choose an onboard compressor system later.

It worked as advertised. They were recommended by a friend and did a great job.
well built easy install needed extra springs to pull trailer.
Checkout was super easy and very fast s hipping.
I have no complaints about the product. The instructions were good, everything went together without a problem. The only reason I didn't give a 5 star review is because my bags had been previously installed and apparently returned. There were installation marks on the brackets and several of the hardware bags had been opened. Most of the hardware was loose inside the box and a few washers slipped out. I paid full price for something that wasn't brand new.

After a year of light use, I have no problems. Airbags are holding up great.
Excellent! Easy to install and they perform as advertised! A must have if you’re hauling heavy loads!
So far I like the product, it looks well made, is heavy duty not light duty :-) I have not installed yet but looks pretty straight forward. My only complaint if you can call it one is I would like to see the packaging beefed up a bit, it traveled across the country and was a bit beat up, seemed to stay intact thou. Other wise looks good. Thank You.
Fast and great shipping...
The kit is easy to install.... you'll need to loosen the inner spring u-bolt to get er next to the spring.....
I'm impressed with 50 psi... jacked it up nicely....
Love these airbags, easy to install and they work great for my pickup, I'd recommend 10/10 to anyone looking.
E trailer has stood behind items and shipping issues and made the necessary adjustments for customer satisfaction
Going with 3 stars this time due to the warehouse issue. It's not that I needed the parts sooner or they held me up doing anything, but the web said "should deliver Thursday" and I wanted to take them to the frame shop with me on Friday that is an hour away. I'll end up putting them on myself now, which isn't a big deal. The reason I got when I called and asked why they hadn't shipped out yet was they "were in a non-stocking location" and they "could be 30 ft high where we can't reach them". I can't for the life of me figure out why anyone would stock things like this or tell the customer "we have them in stock.....we just can't get to them." I'm sure it some COVID excuse like the entire country is dealing with so that's my only complaint. Everything else was just fine as usual with my orders.
Had these air bags for a year defiantly worth every penny. Buy once cry once. Loaded 40 foot goose neck and the truck won't squat.
Relatively easy to install and has completely eliminated the issue of the skirt on my flatbed slicing the sidewalls of tires under a heavy loaded trailer.
Install was easy and went great. etrailer sales was great as usual.
I put a set of 7,500 lb on my dodge dually two wheel drive, what a difference! I carry a heavy 3 slide camper on it 100% of the time, these bags made amazing ride quality upgrade.

Extremely well, I would use these air springs again!
Well worth it! You don't need a air compressor! Just a bicycle tire pump is all you need. Just hook up your trailer to the hitch and Jack it up to get the weight off the truck and bags. And about one pump is about one psi. I have 50 psi in mine. I have a 70 gallon fuel tank in my truck 2007 dodge 2500 quad cab and a 21 ft trailer.no more weight distribution hitch for me. I'll put my long drop back on! Bevel the edges of the lower brackets with a file..no grinder!...just the edges.scrape the paint off too.where the u bolts on where your leaf springs and your bottom bracket meet. 2 or 4 wheel drive. It has to be a right fit!...you'll have to can't it and put one side in and tap gently and it'll be up against your leaf and between your u bolts.
Then line up your holes on top and put your nut in snuggly on top tighten snuggly. Then lift the side up that's not against the leaf and tighten the heck out of the bottom flange bolt with a long 9/16 box end wrench or maybe a socket.blue locktight!....you don't need to mark it that way...saves so MUCH trouble! The u bolts hold it in place and you nut on top too....no marking! ...good luck!
Easy installation. Works great!
Had to replace the final hose connector into the air bag on one side, it was leaking. The cut was good, so I think there was something just not right about that fitting. Other than that, these have been great and no problems holding air pressure on the long term. My understanding is that this specific model series can accommodate lifting the truck from the body/frame off the ground and therefore hang the rear axle without the fear of ripping the bags. That is why I went with this series specifically, however now that I've owned them for a year - they have been great! I just do a manual fill and installed the schrader valves at the rear bumper area by the license plate. I do not tee them together into a single schrader valve, that way if you need it, you can level the truck side to side. This is very important need if you have a camper with a slide out since they typically add a additional 500 lbs to the side with the slide out.
Hi my name is charlie o, I recently purchased the extreme duty air bags for my 2003 dodge ram 2500. The manufacture is very reputable and also the instructions were fairly simple to install the air bags! It took me 2 Hours for the install and no drilling required which is a plus!!! I personally would recommend this product and the sales personal were very nice and knowledgeable! Thankyou again etrailer.com!!!

So far all is well, the air bags performs great!!
I purchased a couple days before Christmas and the overnight shipping was great. I was nervous if Etrailer would get it off in time. Great job! The airbags work better than expected. I now have a solid stable ride.
Sagging springs after 14 years of all towing or hauling. Instead of spring replacement airbags are a great solution. No leaks at all.
Works great. It actually works better than great. I wish that the system worked with my blue tooth hands free calling. Its one or the other but not both. Now I wish I had paid the $600 more for the remote.
Great quality. Fast shipping. Easy inst allation
Works very well. Should have bought this awhile ago.
The Ride-Rite Extreme Duty Air Springs (RED Label) worked great on my RAM 3500 DRW. I pull a 40' Montana 5th wheel. 15,000 lbs and about 4,000lbs on the truck bed. I had the NON Red Label rated at 5,000 lbs and blew one airbag on extremely bumpy Illinois Interstate. I have put about 20,000 miles on the RED label airbags rated to 7,500lbs and have been VERY happy.
P.S. I am not one of those Saggy rear end trucks that shine their headlights in your eyes thanks to the support I get from these air bags. Level ride = level lights

Still going strong!!!
It's been my experience that Etrailer sells quality products at a good price with free shipping. The recent Firestone heavy duty 7500 lb airbags are no exception. I had originally installed the lighter duty 5000 lb bags and they lasted 10 years. The airbag hardware is the same as my originals so all I had to do was pop off the bags and air lines. That's good because the existing countersink bolts connecting the hardware to the chassis are never coming off. The installation took 1 hr and 15 min. I thought I had a problem after checking the system for leaks, There wasn't any leakage but the pressure had gone down from 70 to 63 psi. I contacted Etrailer and they offered to replace the bags. However, I came to realize that my pressure gauge was slowly dying and giving me faulty readings. I also realized I put in 120 degree air from my compressor on a 90 degree day and then checked the bags the next morning at 60 degrees. The pressure does drop somewhat due to the temperature differential. The removal of the old bags took longer than the installation of the new bags. I began by removing the old hardware and realized the csk bolts were not coming off, which is why I just used the existing hardware. I had to cut the bags and visegrip them up to the hardware to keep them from spinning when removing the nut holding the bags onto the hardware. A word of caution...don't be afraid to zip tie the air lines every 10" or so. My original air line had some slack and got caught between the chassis and the bed so got a bit flattened. I'm pleased!
