Features to know about

Keep Heavy Loads Level and Under Control: 8,000-lb Rear-Axle Support

When you’re towing a big trailer or hauling a camper that makes the rear sag, this system steps in with solid backup. The Timbren Suspension Enhancement System uses hollow rubber springs rated at 8,000 lbs to help keep your truck level and stable under load. The springs sit above the rear axle and work with your factory suspension to reduce squat so steering, braking, and headlight aim stay right where they should.

Smooth Out the Rough Stuff: Rubber Springs That Absorb Road Shock

Heavy loads don’t have to mean a rough ride. These Aeon hollow rubber springs compress progressively—the more weight you add, the stiffer they get. Under light loads, they leave about an inch of clearance to let your stock suspension move freely. When conditions get bumpy, the rubber design cushions impacts and prevents bottoming out to give a smoother ride and help protect your suspension from wear.

Stay Steady in Crosswinds and Turns: Independent Spring Action

Each Timbren spring works on its own side of the vehicle. That independent action keeps the truck balanced when you’re hauling off-center loads or making sharp turns. It helps cut down on body roll and limits trailer sway so your setup feels planted when a gust of wind hits or when you’re running through tight corners with a heavy trailer behind you.

Skip the Air Lines and Adjustments: Simple Bolt-On Design

Installing extra support shouldn’t take a full weekend or require compressors and gauges. This kit replaces your factory bump stops with custom-fit brackets and rubber springs that bolt to each frame rail—no drilling needed. Once installed, there’s nothing to maintain or adjust. The durable rubber construction resists leaks and keeps working trip after trip, backed by Timbren’s limited lifetime warranty.

I wont be able to put them to the test until early Sept when I pick up my Arctic Fox 990. As far as the install they went in with no issues. I installed the spacer as my truck is a heavy duty and with the spacer installed I still had over a 1/2 inch between the axle and the timbrens.

by:

Had a problem at post office with address label so they didn’t except the first delivery called and they re shipped immediately no questions asked, which was awesome! Second time they made it only to find they shipped the brackets only, once again called and shipped the other immediately, so customer service is great, which is rare these days! Would recommend ordering from them to anyone!

by:

Received these in just a few days so that was nice. Install was super easy only took about 20 mins to remove old bump stops and put these on. I had hooked my toy hauler up to my 22 ram 3500 before installing these and it squatted about 3 ½". After installing these the sqaut was only 1¼". Excited to see how the comfort is while towing the toyhauler.

by:

The installed very easily and without incident. However, after the first outing (about 1000 mi on paved roads) the ride quality proved to terrible that I removed them. They solved the sway problem I had but rear suspension rebound was so harsh I was afraid the truck frame was likely to be damaged. It was like having no suspension at all in the rear.

by:

Very good quality and took less than 30 minutes to install. I tow bumper pull RV's and a 5th wheel. Can't wait to tow 1 and see how it works.

Works great. I also have 1 on a 99 2500 Silverado. Thats why I purchased this one. You dont know you have it until you hook up a trailer or load something in the pickup. Then it just works. I will definitely continue to purchase one with each pickup I purchase.

by:

I have them on a F-250 and just installed these on my Ram 3500 Dually. They work great. I've never used airbags, which I believe I could "fine tune" more than the Timbrens, but the ride is acceptable with the Timbrens and I don't have to worry about any maintenance and much less change of failure while I'm on the road.

by:

the product was very easy to install, but I was very dissatisfied with the ride of the truck after installing. The rubber distorted and there was almost metal contact with the bolt holding the spacers in place with the real axle housing. We have replaced your product with an air ride suspension which I am extremely happy with. I would not recommend this product to be used.

by:

Very stout and well made. Were easy to remove when not needed, as I only tow my RV seasonally and put the stock bumpers back on for the rest of the time. I use them rather than the inflatable type, longer life span and no leaks, ever! Stiff ride though without a trailer for sure, also I notice they help my truck a lot with sway on the winding roads with and without the trailer attached. I definitely recommend them if your vehicle sags when towing.

by:

So I recently had two product purchases from etrailer, my Timbren load suspension upgrade and my truck bed camper frame mounted hold-downs, both to be installed on my 2016 3500 Ram. The installation and performance of both of these products went very well. I received great phone support from etrailer operators, as my buddy and I have in the past. It was my buddie Mikie who originally recommended your Company from numerous purchases he has made with you.

by:

I put these on my 2021Ram 3500 dually to help level it out with a truck camper with a slide on one side that made the truck lean to the right. After a couple of months I took them off. First, they made no difference to the lean of the truck with the camper on, which was the main reason I purchased them. Second, it made the ride harsher and I believe it was because these suspension parts were interfering with the normal operation of the leaf springs not allowing the springs to absorb the road imperfections. Third, because of the harsh ride it caused my trailer to break the chain attachments (three times on one trip) that I have supporting my extended hitch under the camper, a set up that has served me fine without breaking for over 5 years with the same load, again because I believe this suspension enhancement did not allow the leaf springs to do their job of absorbing the road shocks. The rigidness of this product transferring the road shocks from the suspension to the hitch components. Forth, for a piece of rubber and metal they are way overpriced for what they are. Worth maybe $[XX].
I would attempt to return them but I waited 6 months after purchase before installing them so figured they wouldn't take them back. I will look into the warranty. Also after taking them off they were quite distorted on the rubber. Absolutely would not recommend.

by:

I am very satisfied with this product, i have a one ton dodge with a 6inch lift and i haul a 1500 lb truck camper buy with the full leaf pack i got it reduced the capacity by 20% so the rid was smooth ride but unpredictable in the turns but when I installed the timbrens i was impressed right away, nothing will stop sway but it gave me all my confidence back and to my surprise the truck sat almost level the ride is stiffer than airbags but in my opinion not bad at all and no maintenance is nice too

by:

Excellent product. Works as designed!

by:

Thank you for the great service ,very thorough and professional. Eli was excellent. Product was shipped immediately ;)

by:

This is on a ram 3500 tow truck and it’s made hauling the vehicles behind it much better would highly recommend this for anyone that toes a lot.

by:

Easy instal, works great for the heavy loads.

by:

I purchased the SES to keep my truck from rocking side to side when the camper is on it. They seem to really help in the rocking and they were easy to install. The problem is in the directions. There is no mention of gaps between the axle and the unit and when to use the rubber spacer. That being said, by contacting Timbren, I was able to get the info that should have been in the installation directions.

by:

2022 Ram 3500, 30 minute install time, great product. Hooked up camper without sway bars and only squat 3/4 inch, where before 4 to 5 inches. Recieved product in 3 days with etrailer staff sending me numerous emails. Great job to etrailer staff. Thanks

by:

Easy installation in about 40 minutes. On heavy truck with dump body and hoist the install has no gap between SES and axle. This is not effecting the empty ride and should definitely improve the stock suspension sag when loaded. Very happy!

by:

Recieced with no hardware bolts was told over night shipping on bolts and etrailer won't make good and ship hardware.

by:

I don’t understand why the price is so high, over $[XX] in total for compressed rubber bumpers mounted to an admittedly heavy duty steel bracket .

by:

My truck (2003 Dodge Ram 3500) drives like a buckboard wagon now with the Timbren SES even when hauling my 8K travel trailer. So much so that I’m actually concerned about the trailer frame failing going over potholes or any imperfect road conditions for that matter. Worst part is etrailer won’t let me return them after installation apparently they can only be “test fitted”. This was definitely $[XX]ish bucks down the drain and after the many thousands of dollars worth of purchases I’ve made over the years through etrailer I’m pretty disappointed with them as well. Definitely a hard do not recommend.

by:

My last purchase was actually for my boss.he was impressed with how my 05 Dodge sits with my Eagle ap 990 so he had me order a set of ses for his 05 Dodge with a Artic Fox 990. We are both very happy with your products.

by:

Hey, this company is awesome. I spoke with Naomi and she was awesome as well. She knew exactly what I was asking about and lead me in the right direction. Delivery was one day earlier than expected. Great job trailer.

by:

Very easy to install, and works exactly the way it was intended to stopped my side to side body roll with my truck camper

by:

Works very well on my Ram 3500 long box 4x4. Really helped with stability pulling a 2600# tongue weight, 16K Gvw 5th wheel. Super easy install!

  • Would Timbrens or SumoSprings Work Best on a 2018 Ram 3500 4WD?
Hi Tim, That's a great question! While Timbrens and SumoSprings are both suspension enhancements, they perform differently depending on how much weight you're towing/hauling and how often you're planning on towing/hauling. The only Timbren kits we have fitted to your 2018 Ram 3500 are severe service kits rated for 8,000lbs of load support, like part # T94VR. The severe service kits should only be used on vehicles with a slide-in camper, salt spreader, mounted crane, or other aerial...

  • Best 2024 Ram 3500 Timbren Suspension Kit for a Slide-In Camper
Hey Jason, thanks for reaching out! The Timbren Rear Suspension Enhancement System # T94VR is the best Timbren kit for your 2024 Ram 3500 because the other Timbren kit, part # TDR3500CA, is designed for standard use while the T94VR is the severe service kit that works better for heavier applications like salt spreaders and slide-in campers. Are you planning on having the camper in most of the time, or is it a once every so often kind of thing?

  • How Big of a Gap Should the Timbren Severe Service Have? Which Ones are Right for My Truck?
Hello Hans, I am a little confused because you have a 2012 Ford F-250 in our fitguide, but the drtt3500d which is our part # T94VR is designed for 2010-2013 Ram 2500 and 2010-2025 Ram 3500; the drtt3500e our part # TDRTT3500E is designed for 2014-2025 Ram 2500. When these severe service Timbrens are installed you can have a gap of 1/2 to 1 1/2" but as you can see in the picture I attached of an install we did here there is 0 gap. If your truck really is a 2012 Ford F-250 then you will...

  • Suspension Enhancement for 2022 Ram 3500 With RealLite 1806 Truck Camper
Hey Mick! Thank you for providing that information. Since you're going offroad with the truck camper I recommend the Timbren Suspension Enhancement System # T94VR. This is designed for constant loads like a slide-in camper and has a really high capacity to prevent that suspension sag. The two springs work independently so it will also cut down on that squirrelly factor by reducing body roll while absorbing bumps/shocks. My go to for in-bed camper setups is typically air bags like the...

  • Recommended Suspension Enhancement For A 2008 Ram 3500 With A 2,900 Lb Truck Bed Camper
Great question. For a 2900 lb truck bed camper I definitely recommend going with air bags. Air bags give you adjustability and allow you to fine tune your suspension. This is especially advantageous when you have a camper in the bed since you may have to compensate for a slightly uneven load. For your 2008 Ram 3500 I recommend the Air lift ultimate # AL88297. This is 5,000 lb capacity kit. The air bags feature internal jounce springs which add stability, and also act as a failsafe if you...

  • Comparing Timbren Rear Suspension Enhancement System for 2016 Ram 3500 Towing 5th Wheel
I understand the confusion based on the difference in capacity. The key is the difference in design. The Timbren Rear Suspension Enhancement System # T94VR is designated as a Severe Service kit so the springs are always engaged. Although the capacity is slightly lower at 8,000 lbs, the design is intended for a constant heavy load like a salt spreader or in-bed camper. Based on the frequency of your towing you want the Timbren Rear Suspension Enhancement System # TDR3500CA. These have...

This kit has an 8,600 lb capacity and doesn't require any drilling for the installation, but please note that it will not fit if you have the factory Air Suspension system. • How Do I Minimize Body Roll On 2020 Ram 3500 While Towing 5th Wheel
Yes, the Timbren Rear Suspension Enhancement System, # T94VR will enhance your current suspension reducing the body roll you are currently experiencing. With the Timbren Suspension Enhancement System, each hollow rubber spring works independently to support the driver's or passenger's side of the vehicle. Each spring is activated when it is needed, so body roll is greatly reduced. This is a great option for the price. I suggest you consider the Roadmaster Rear Anti-Sway Bar, # RM73FR....

The payload also gives you 150-lbs that is not considered (the average male driver) so it's technically 150-lbs more than what it says.
