Suspension Enhancement Recommendation for a 2006 Ford F-250 King Ranch 4x4 and 5th Wheel Trailer

Question:

I have a 2006 F250 King Ranch 4x4 6.0L that I haul a 5th wheel camper with. We have recently upgraded to a camper that is 13,000Lbs with 2000lbs hitch weight. I am under on my GCWR but maxd on hitch weight. When loaded my truck settles 1/2 front and 2 rear. Without the trailer i have 3-1/2 of travel from rear axle to bumpstop, with I have 1-1/2. Looking for a recommendation for some sort of helper for the travel. Maybe air ride, spring helper, bump stop upgrade? New at this so looking for the experts to suggest. Thanks

For your 2006 Ford F-250 King Ranch, we have numerous suspension enhancement products that will help with the rear vehicle sag you are experiencing. I recommend the Timbren Rear Suspension Enhancement System, # TFR250SDF, that you have referenced. These springs will not affect the unloaded ride of your truck. When loaded that will prevent sagging, provide more roll stability, and prevent the truck from bottoming out. And, they have more than enough capacity (6,000 pounds) for your trailer. I have included a link to the installation details for reference.

Air springs would be a good choice if you routinely carry varying loads and you need to adjust each side to make the truck level. But if you need something primarily for towing the trailer, the Timbren springs would be the way to go.
