Trailer Wiring Harness Installation - 2012 Honda Accord

Today on this 2012 Honda Accord Cross Tour we're going to install part number 118500 from Tow-Ready. Our first step is to go ahead and remove all floor coverings and the center storage bin. Now to remove the drivers side cargo tray there's a small cover we have to lift up and the bolts underneath it. We'll go ahead and remove the bolt and then remove the cargo tray. After we remove the tray if you look towards the bumper underneath the carpet you should see a connector wrapped up in blue tape. We'll go ahead and release the blue tape and then pull the connector out.

Trailer Wiring Harness Installation - 2006 Honda Accord

Today we are going to be installing wiring harness part number 118302 on a 2006 Honda Accord. We are inside the trunk area here. The connection points are actually located behind the tail light assembly, so we are going to need to remove this rear threshold piece. There are push rivets located here that are holding the threshold piece on. I am going to take a flat-bladed screwdriver and just gently pull up. OK, next I am going to go ahead and remove the carpeting. To do so, there are two Phillips-head screws that we are going to take out. We are going to remove the plastic plugs that are in here as well, and that will allow us to pull the carpeting back here. So here on the drivers side we are going to go ahead and make all three of our connections.

  • Trailer Wiring Harness for a 2013 Honda Accord Sedan without LED Tail Lights

The instructions also list the coupe model but again the application guide goes up to 2012 for the coupe and then includes the sedan, without LED tail lights, for 2013.

  • Trailer Lights Do Not Work when Running Lights are On with Wiring Harness 118420, 2008 Honda Accord
  • Most likely there is a bad ground, a short, or an overload condition. First check the ground at the converter box and make sure it is attached to a clean bare metal surface. Then do the same for the main ground on the trailer side. And finally do the same for the lights on the trailer. Ground issues normally show up when there is more load on the harness. That could be why it only shows up when the vehicle lights are on. To check for shorts you will need to inspect the wiring on the trailer s

  • Trailer Wiring Harnesses for a 2005 Honda Accord
  • There are different wiring harnesses for the 2005 Honda Accord, both of which have a converter box. The converters are already part of the harness so you just need to install the correct one. A converter is needed to convert the 3-wire signal from the vehicle down to a 2-wire signal used by most trailers.

This should get you to where you need to be to connect the T-One Wiring harness, item # 118436, in line with your vehicles ta
